vladoniki Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 It is a simple and light car. It is powered by 1 XL motor for driving and a M motor for steering. Car slides easily on curves. Video: Quote
Zerobricks Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 Good, but try to make it drift with rubber wheels Quote
vladoniki Posted June 13, 2010 Author Posted June 13, 2010 Good, but try to make it drift with rubber wheels Thanks! May be you have an idea how to make it drifting so good with tyres? Quote
DLuders Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 Although the RC motors turn at a faster Revolutions Per Minute (RPM) than the Power Functions XL motor (1300 rpm vx. 220 rpm), you have already achieved the "drifter" car setup with your existing smooth wheels. The 8376 Hot Flame RC car (which is also a "drifter"; http://peeron.com/inv/sets/8376-1) has SMOOTH 44777 wheels: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=44777 . Quote
vladoniki Posted June 13, 2010 Author Posted June 13, 2010 Use RC motors like i did: Thank you all for good ideas! What transmission do you use - 1:X? Does it have a differential (what is its type)? Quote
Zerobricks Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 Direct output from the faster, closer axle. One motor per wheel Quote
vladoniki Posted June 13, 2010 Author Posted June 13, 2010 Direct output from the faster, closer axle. One motor per wheel Are the 2 motors working together all the time? I mean is it a real drift? P.S. I have ordered 44777 wheels, so I will test it when I receive them. Quote
vladoniki Posted June 22, 2010 Author Posted June 22, 2010 Here is the new version. Now it has tires and it still drifts good. Quote
efferman Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 i see you have used the drift tires of the supersonic RC. have you bought them separately or have you the RC set? Quote
vladoniki Posted June 22, 2010 Author Posted June 22, 2010 i see you have used the drift tires of the supersonic RC. have you bought them separately or have you the RC set? I have bought them separately from Bricklink. I don't have the complete set, I have just the tires. Quote
