Zerobricks Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 This coupling basically consists of two u joints placed inside each other. To split the angle of the driveshafts between both u joints i used a flex cable. This way both u joints are at half the whole cupling's angle and cancel each other out. DLuders Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 So, this Thompson Coupling could be used as a "joint" in the chassis of a Lego Trial Truck, correct? The joint could offer an infinite range of movement (due to the Flex Cable). The Technic Turntable can only allow movement along two axes. Have you used this in one of your MOCs? Quote
Zerobricks Posted March 26, 2010 Author Posted March 26, 2010 The coupling allows a range of 30 degrees of movement. Its a a little to big to be used in any models, its just a demonstration :) Quote
