David Thomsen Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 Expect more news shortly. MOC or actual Lego set? I'm assuming the former, since they said there wouldn't be any more pirates sets next year, but I can't say for sure based on this image.

General Armendariz Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 My dream has come true but a 180$ is a bit pricey
Inconspicuous Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 (edited) My dream has come true but a 180$ is a bit pricey Huh? Where did the $180 come from? Did I miss something? Anyways, this made my day. Does this mean Lego lied to us? Or will this be a one-hit wonder? Edited October 3, 2009 by Inconspicuous

Inconspicuous Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 Its on the Flickr page click the picture Much appreciated, General Armendariz. Wow, January? Note to self: save a boatload (no pun intended) of cash for this.
Governor Mister Phes Posted October 3, 2009 Governor Posted October 3, 2009 Ah, so you lads have found a picture of the Imperial Ship. Bout time
Cardinal Brick Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 Excellent, thought I want to see some more pictures before I start thinking if the price is to high or not. Seems odd for a theme that is going away to have a huge expensive set produced so late in it's run.

Ah, but the range is just on 'hiatus', as they say... if they bring back pirates in 2011, this set will probably still be on sale even if the others aren't. Is anyone going to post any more pictures? I'm refreshing this page every twenty seconds until we get more pictures. Surely more pictures must be on their way? Are those sails preliminary? If you colour them blue and white between the lines, they would match the sails of Brickbeard's Bounty much better. Edited October 3, 2009 by David Thomsen
Quarryman Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 Good, official pics are up on Dunechaser's Flickr page (pic is link, of course) And The Brothers Brick has more details about the set as well. And someone should probably rename this thread to something better than "red guard ship"
JunkstyleGio Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 (edited) Not my Cup of tea: But do check BrothersBrick for great news! Great News Greetz from a technic but amazed fan! Edit so I'm not the first but still in awe! Edited October 3, 2009 by JunkstyleGio
Calanon Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 I saw this on Brickset today, and I must have it, I don't care if it's £140. It's simply awesome. Though I'll still wanna add another below deck for soldiers to sleep in, unless we get beds with it with teh cannons. Only an interior picture shall tell!
Captain Blackmoor Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 This is awesome! A dream coming true indeed! Finally a realistic, brick intensive ship! I want to have this beauty! I also think those brown mast pieces are quite interesting... Sad enough this is probably the swan song of the pirates line. But a very good one!
mikey Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 Yes, she is truly beautiful, and a fitting end to the Pirates 2009 theme, IF of course it is ending? This is the Modular Standard for the Seven Seas! Amazing. To expensive for me (i'm not really into ships anyway), but this is still an outstanding set. I'm not surprised they captured BrickBeard, how could he ever out run this beauty!
Skipper 24 Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 What a must buy! So many details and features. Plenty of figs too .
David Thomsen Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 Looking at the pictures, I'm content now with the discontinuation of the line. I mean, the one thing I really wanted was a ship exactly like this. I'm still unhappy that there won't be other sets, at least not next year, but I'm no longer angry and resentful about it. Lego has fulfilled its obligation to match my Brickbeard's Bounty with an Imperial Flagship... my collection will no longer be half complete.
Lorentzen Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 It's been a long time since I litterally did the "jaw-drop" Wow - what an amazing set. The best thing is the sails - they are not <insert that tiresome argument>
Izzy Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 This ship looks truly amazing. I can hear sighs of relief all over the world and a renewed appreciation for TLG after all this kerfuffle over the Pirates line ending (?) too soon. What a spectacular surprise!!!
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted October 3, 2009 Eurobricks Emperor Posted October 3, 2009 Seems this went live on TBB before the time that was agreed with the Ambassadors Let's continue the discussion here Thanks Sir Dano for bringing this news! You did good posting this
