Athos Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 Vig. 85c Stan joined the Royal Navy to see the world. Being stationed on the most boring rock in the sea was not what he had in mind... Though he did have to admit there were worse places to be. The roof was one of the most interesting he'd ever seen... And the fishing was quite good; today he'd hoped to catch a dolphin or two... And a better view of the flags: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Pi.../piratebay2.jpg And the shack even has a bit of an interior: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Pi.../piratebay3.jpg The gallery: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=396039 http://www.flickr.com/photos/37777874@N06/...57621859484071/ Steve Quote
Admiral Bejaune Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 A very nice moc you have created. The roof technique is nice. I wouldn't mind being stuck in a place with good fishing... (oh wait... I am!). There is a great amount of detail you managed to put in a 8 x 8 space. Keep it up! -Admiral Bejaune Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 Looks great Steve! I agree there are a lot of details in there, great job on that. The roof looks very interesting too. I think I will use that idea sometime! Keep it up! Quote
Erdbeereis Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 Really good work Athos! The use of those flags for the roof is very clever, and you did well with the dock as well. Are the flags simply connected with staggered handle pieces? I'll just move this to the MOC forum. Quote
Athos Posted August 9, 2009 Author Posted August 9, 2009 Are the flags simply connected with staggered handle pieces? Yep. Steve Quote
the_green_avenger Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 that's pretty amazing for being so small! I really like how you decided to use flags for the roof shingles. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted August 9, 2009 Governor Posted August 9, 2009 Still as talented as ever I see! Simple yet a very effective scence, it evokes a sense that it's part of a something larger but tranquil. Thank you for sharing! Quote
