Brickshelf find, I don't know what this would fit under, but the mix of colors most closely resembles any real mountain I've seen reproduced in lego. The waterfall isn't that spectacular, but the surrounding rock looks fantastic (to me at least)

TheTennisBallKid is a good builder, and I think this is the best of his creations, :)

Wow, thats awsome! Is it from The Lord of the Rings?

Yeah, I believe it's supposed to be Henneth Annun, an outpost of Faramir and his rangers, and where they bring Frodo and Sam after they capture them.

Would have been helpful if you provided this information in the first post...

Well, this thread is about the landscape, so I really didn't believe it was relevant to provide the descriptions, but I'll be sure to in the future ;)

Ahhhhhhh but as you discovered the discription was relevant! But then again without it I viewed this MOC from an entirely different perspective. So maybe you were right... I suppose it depends upon the response you were aiming for.

What part of Lord of the Rings is that landscape out of?

hm.... i find this to be a weird moc... surely there's something missing, like Minifigs or so... there's also something wrong with the waterfall. looks like a stairway, it doesn't look like a waterfall, it needs light blue and white bricks.

Excellent work Mr Starwars4J. Would have been good if you had put that link in your first post too since its got a dozen more pictures there.

Do I sound like a moaning old nag yet? If so, just think of me as your other mother :D

Ok, we need a Lord of the Rings fan in here right away!

isn't this the scene where golum is washing himself while being watched by men (Boromir's brother and his group of rebels)?

i think Two Towers...

The Forbidden Pool is the small lake where Faramir's guys catch Gollum...

The landscaping is really awesome, and I like the SNOT technic of the water, though I have to admit that using snot for ALL the water doesn't look that good. He / she should have used snot water only at the places where it falls down and standard techniques (also including some transparent white/ blue plates and such where it is runs normally.

And as a sidenote: Since I read the book the first time I always had a really high waterfall in my mind that falls into the small lake...

A nice MOC... I am always partial to any MOC which involves water, especially waterfalls, though in this case it is the MOC's weakest part. Mountains in lt grey is very hard to do so this is well done but something in it lacks the punch I like in a MOC.

God Bless,

Nathan
