I recently ordered from Lego for the purpose of getting some of the free gold bricks... When I recieved my order the gold bricks appeared on the packing list but not in the box. "No prob" I thought I'll just contact Lego. The reply I got said that while " The success of any company depends greatly on the product loyalty of people just like you. That is why it is always a source of great concern when we hear from a consumer indicating disappointment in any aspect of our Company. I have forwarded documentation of your comments to our Promotional Team for their review" they couldn't send me a replacement set of gold bricks. I find this a bit odd. I respect "while supplies last" but if on entering your order (and paying) you are told you will recieve one (I would have cancelled the order otherwise) and it appears on the packing list, aren't you entitled to a little more than "I have forwarded documentation of your comments to our Promotional Team for their review" ?! While I have been angry about the colour change, and decreasing brick quality I have always respected Lego's needs, but I have never dealt with a company that does this!

You really ought to call them up. Skip the email/webform or whatever you used. I'm sure if you talk to an actual service rep, the'll make it right

That happened to me too, I guess at the time they didn't realize they had run out of gold bricks, and it was "while supplies last". Luckily that was my second order, and I had already recieved 5 gold bricks before :-D If you really want some of them, besides being relatively cheap on Bricklink, you can always get the anniversary tub, that has 8 gold bricks IIRC. But meh, I'm guessing it's more the principle, and less the bricks, eh? If you work anything out, let me know and I'll try calling them with my bill too, but I don't think they'll go to the trouble of MAKING more just for a disgruntled fan or two.

Anyway, good luck!

For real.

Anything else is a horrible waste of time.

They're usually VERY generous and quick in resolving things by phone.

...so quit sitting here reading this & call...

Just make sure you have the set's model number(s) at your fingertips... they'll tell you to call back if you don't have it handy.

Arghhhhh TLC sometimes are soooo stupid !!!

They delivered my package today at my parents house !!!!! I didn't know my dad ventured into building a sandcrawler !!! How odd :D :P

Seriously, I phoned them like 10 times to tell them I moved away but they still send my stuff to the wrong adress *sing* !!!!

Pick up the phone and call customer service. The rule is that if the set has been discontinued for 5 years You can't get the missing parts. And they might also deny sending "collectibel" pieces like the AT-AT driver. But usually the send You the bricks - even though You might be required to pay the postage. - I've tried the mail customer service a few times without any luck and the called them and instantly recieved the missing bricks. That's all there's to it - DIAL - MAKE FACE TO FACE CONTACT .... eh ... MOUTH TO EAR |-D

You can call the hotline no matter which country. It doesn't have to be the S@H.... Just dial the hotlines number, say which parts are missing and MERRY CHRISTMAS. It's really that simple. The local number for Your country can be found on LEGO.com

well... in Belgium you get redirected to a service in the UK...

Redirected or not - the point is : is doesn't matter where you bought your LEGO, you can always call customer service if something is wrong or missing... The contact via email is often very bad hence the point is to call customer service. :)

I also live in Ireland, it doesn't matter just call them. I called CC about a missing clone helmet (which I also got from the US) and they sent it within a week. Call them you have nothing to lose...

Well I should follow this up... after some more contacting Lego very kindly sent me a 4105 tub, which I have just received. Fair Play to them...

God Bless,

Nathan
