Darkie Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 I got to thinking. We see all sorts of fun stuff for our dearly beloved Black Falcons, but what about their trusty steeds? They've got to go somewhere, right? It was this thought, and a shortage of my normal building supply of white bricks that made me think, "What sort of additional color can I match up with these white bricks, to make something really cool?" And inspiration struck. And as we know, ignoring inspiration can have negative effects. ;) So, without further ado, I present the Black Falcon's Stable. Now, I figure every good stable has to be able to shoe their horses. I mean, what kind of unkind owner would the Falcon's be, if their horses were unshod? They've also got to create little horses. So Mom and her foal get a bit of fresh air, and a crisp apple. I figure there's bound to be leftovers from a cart of some sort. Perhaps, fodder for a new one? Either way, this cart has seen better days. When the Falcons aren't growing food, storing it or taking care of their horses, the might find a bit of extra time to relax and sharpen an old sword. Here's the saddles for their horses. And finally, some exterior shots. 1 2 3 4 Gallery, when public. Enjoy! Quote
ApophisV Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 Very nice and unique idea! I really liked all those details of the "civilian" life, I especially like the anvil! Maybe you should start making a whole farm with fields, cows, corn and so on!!! ;) Quote
KimT Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 Nice - Does me good to see that the Falcons live a simple everyday life... :) KimT Quote
SuvieD Posted September 27, 2005 Posted September 27, 2005 Does it have a roof coming or do the poor horse sleep in the rain? This is great. I like the overall design. The little living details make it look even better. I like the smaller style of building TLC uses for their buildings so I would have made it a little less grand and a whole lot more cramped to get all those details in. I really like the "full service" stable you have created. So many times people just have an odd box with stalls. One question though, where is the water trough? Nice work. Quote
Darkie Posted September 27, 2005 Author Posted September 27, 2005 No roof yet. It's going to be displayed at NWBC, so I figured for right now, it didn't need a roof. I hadn't thought of the water trough. I'll put one in now. Thanks! I figure if the Falcons are a sort of renegade group, they'd depend a whole lot on their horses. So, ergo, the horses must be well cared for. Hence their better living conditions than their human riders. :D Quote
