So, I have just finished the first season of Heroes, and I can honestly say it is one of my most favorite TV shows out there. The stories, characters, themes, and acting are all stellar. I am amazed at what they have done with this series and how deep it can get. I am excited about watching season 2, but have heard that it is kind of lame. Any comments about this? Still, I will watch to continue the story. I love how they are all connected together and how you don't really know who is good and who is a villain right away. Anybody here love this show?

Note: Please do not post spoilers here unless you mark them clearly.

I love season 1, especially "homecoming" onwards. Favorite episodes are "5 years gone" (45 minutes of sheer awesome badass ness) and "company man." I found "how to stop..." a little disappointing though.

season 2 is a bit boring, and there's too much of the same elements that bored me in S1

season 3 while mostly good is a bit all over the place in terms of retcons and writing and character development

"Company Man" and "5 Years Later" were truly bad-megablocks. I also loved "How to Stop an Exploding Man" a lot. So far I have watched two episodes of Season 2 on Netflix (don't recommend it, the quality is really crappy) and it isn't that bad. I am sad that there are only 9 more for me to watch and then I have to wait to rent season 3.

I think Heroes is a great series, really.

I love the character Peter Petrelli, he rulez

I liked Season 2 as well, it's just really short.

And a few story-lines weren't as interesting as the rest, but it was still okay.

I think I will be waiting patiently till I can see Season 3 in Holland, legally :pir-tongue:

Season 1 was great, really fantastic. The show felt so fresh and exciting, and so untapped with potential, that it's a shame the second series was such a disaster. Things have picked up this year again, but the writing is inconsistent and the characters are incredibly tedious.

The show's creator Tim Kring said originally he wanted to have a new cast/new characters every season- this would've been so much better.

I think season 1 was great, 2 was a bit bad in places and 3 is so far ok, a mixture of amazing bits but also some ruining of characters too. There hasn't been an episode without this annoying problem so far in the season as far as I can tell. Oh well.

Also I dislike the 6 degrees of separation everyone fits in.

Thanks for all the input guys. I am sad Season 2 sounds kind of bad, but I will watch optimistically.

Also, quick question Lord Thrawn. What is your Signature.

Season 1 was good. Season 2 not so much. I think it had to do with the writers strike. So much felt rushed and undone. Certain things that were foreshadowed never really happened. I haven't seen Season 3 yet.

I just finished Season 2, and it wasn't as bad as I thought. It did feel really short though.

Saving the world this time felt a little rushed.

I am looking forward to watching Season 3. If you have a fast internet connection and subscribe to Netflix, I would recommend watching episodes on there. You an watch all 3 seasons, new episodes are added a few days after they are on TV, and you don't have to pay extra to watch them, unlike if you watched through iTunes.

Edit: So, I am now almost caught up in Season 3. All I have left is the two Eclipse Episodes. I do have to say Season 3 is great, just very confusing. The series was a lot more straight-forward the first 2 Seasons. I still love it, but you have pay a lot more attention to what is going on.

I don't think that a completely new cast would be that good. Then each season would be separate, and their wouldn't be any connections of continuing stories or mythology. I like that new characters are added, but I also like that they keep most of the same characters.
