[MOC] Brickovian Bricklayers Union Calls Strike

"Click by click! Brick by brick!"

Reeling from the extreme breakneck pace of the expansion of Brickovia, the Bricklayers Union has declared a general strike. Bosses announced that Union members would march down the main thoroughfares of the Interlocking People's Table-State of Brickovia to "Show the Sovereign-for-Life and the figs inside Assembly Hall what the working guy is made of." Police response has been heavy. 

Union bosses Tom, Dick, and Larry Palooka are seen here leading the working figs of the Bricklayers Union to Assembly Hall. Mayor Man released a furious official post calling the Palookas:

“Thuggish gangsters who deprive the working fig of labor, dignity, and properly scheduled municipal expansion.”

Minutes later, Labor Secretary Builtrite escalated the rhetoric, posting:

“These are ugly guys with weird face prints no one uses anymore. Plastic surgery is just a head shop away, really, guys.”

The post was later deleted, restored, deleted again, and finally restored and rebricked by the Sovereign-for-Life, showing a serious breakdown in His Excellency's relations with the Union bosses. For his part, Dick Palooka posted:

"We built dis city. An we know exactsly hows to takes it aparts."

 

 

Brickovian News Network correspondent Bricky Figsley was on the scene as police began erecting barricades one block from Assembly Hall and the People's Palace of the Sovereign-for-Life. 

 

Solidarity might be forever, but the pain of the billyclubs and tear gas deployed on the striking Bricklayers will also last a long while for many. No deaths are reported but Brickovian State Security has announced several dozen workers have been arrested. A warrant has been put out for the Palooka Brothers, who were last seen in the vicinity of the Downtown Diner, consorting with weird figs. If spotted, please call your local police guy immediately.
