[MOC] Tamil Hindu Temple

This LEGO model is inspired by Tamil Hindu temples that I have seen on my travels in Sri Lanka, Singapore and Malaysia. 

The LEGO model depicts a typical gopuram tower. Gopuram towers stand at the entrance to Tamil Hindu temples. They are often very colorful and decorated with hundreds of statues of various Hindu gods. 

Tamil Hindu temples differ from other Hindu temples by being more colorful. Most Tamil Hindu temples are located in southern India and northern Sri Lanka, where the population is Tamil. There are also many Tamil Hindu temples in Singapore and Malaysia, as there are many Tamils living in these two countries.
