There was a slightly larger version of this truck here on the forum. I also modified my fire truck – made it a bit smaller :)

 

The official version (in my humble opinion) is a bit large, especially compared to the other machines in my collection. I understand it's a specialized machine, but it still wouldn't fit on the shelf. :)

So I removed the rear axle and shortened the truck a bit. I also shortened the engine—it was mounted too high, after all. Redesigned the lifting sprinkler...

 

I also moved the second row of seats back to make the crew's ride more enjoyable :)))

 

And lastly, I improved the steering system. It's less durable, but the wheels now turn at a slightly wider angle.

 

Maybe someday I'll find the inspiration to rebuild it with smaller wheels and a lower body height in an attempt to make the truck more compact :)
