yqc Posted April 10 Posted April 10 Hi everyone, I'm a fairly new member here on EB, but am quite active for some time on the Rebrickable Forum now, so I read about MOCView there and wanted to share it with you, as I really like the software. Spoiler Quick Links Rebrickable Forum thread: https://forum.rebrickable.com/t/171342?u=yqc MOCView on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4018000/ This is a great tool, which places LDraw (and therefore Studio) models in a 3d scene and allows you to take pictures of it, record videos or walk through your build in minifig size. The creator of this tool is both active on Steam, where you can chat with them in the comments of their updates as well as in the thread on the Rebrickable Forum, if you have any direct questions, etc. But you can also use this thread here to discuss this and/or ask questions, I will try my best to answer them. For now, this is a Windows-only application, although it works via Proton (for Linux machines). However, you need to test, if you meet the minimum requirements to really use it. For me, it sadly only started, but than had so much lag and frequently crashed I couldn't really test it. Hope, that I could share something cool, Kind regards, Luna (aka yqc) Quote

Brick900 Posted April 25 Posted April 25 I'm going to post some more images of this software. The developer posted these over on the Rebrickable forum earlier: Quote

If you click the link in my original post to the RB Forum or Steam, you can see more images already. Quote
SNIPE Posted May 19 Posted May 19 Is there a standalone windows version I don't see why I need to try and login to steam, reset my password, do some stupid CAPTCHAS then after I reset the password it still tells me it cant sign in just to run some windows program. Is this made in unity/UE? Quote

As posted above, there is a thread on the Rebrickable Forum about MOCView, where you can read some more information: On 4/10/2026 at 8:47 PM, yqc said: Rebrickable Forum thread: https://forum.rebrickable.com/t/171342?u=yqc --- 32 minutes ago, SNIPE said: Is there a standalone windows version No, there is no standalone version, it's just published over Steam. I also find this decision questionable, but it's their decision after all. 32 minutes ago, SNIPE said: I don't see why I need to try and login to steam, reset my password, do some stupid CAPTCHAS then after I reset the password it still tells me it cant sign in just to run some windows program. Well, it is assumed, that most people know their Steam password or just create a new account. 33 minutes ago, SNIPE said: Is this made in unity/UE? I believe it is, but I'm not really sure. Quote

I can provide you with technical support as goog as possible, but you nedd to want that and not just say it's "unobtainable". If you don't want to usw this software, you don't have to. Quote
