The Slinky bookend allegedly comes with Woody and a minifig-scale Slinky!  Finally!! Now we only need Mr Potato Head to complete the OG gang

I wonder how Slinky will look. Do we think a fully new mold or something brick built? Curious to see how they handle the slinky itself.

The leakers said that two new specialised pieces were created for him, with the spirally wire (what‘s that part called? A slinky I reckon? ) being rubbery. Sounds like three pieces to me, but maybe there‘s some dual-moulding involved

Speaking of Toy Story, I wonder how many TS5 sets we‘ll be getting? There are some still unknown sets in the pipeline, but I doubt they‘re all based on the movie. I‘m also curious to see how they‘ll handle Lilypad. Maybe she‘ll come with a lenticular card to represent her screen?

Come to think of it, it‘ll be quite funny and almost paradoxical to have a non-electronic toy version of the villain who‘s all about electronics replacing toys. Ironic.

Is it just the poncho that's new for him?

Looking forward to finally getting Slinky in Lego form. I hope they bring back Hamm. He's rather expensive from the older sets.

Likely, that is if we even get TS5 sets to begin with

Currently, we know about the 18+ Slinky Dog set which does come with a Woody minifig, but I’m expecting the classic version here. Then there’s the Wild West set, which sounds more like it’s based on TS2, and the buildable Lotso to represent TS3. 

We only know of two still unnamed Disney sets this year, namely 43302, which is 18+, and 43307, allegedly a Pixar set. This one could be our only direct tie-in set. Kinda strange considering how many sets TS3 and 4 got, but maybe the latter didn’t sell too well, hence the focus on the first three

I keep wondering if Lego will give us another big D2C this year, or will the existing BATB castle be it for a long time?

Yeah, the hat would cover up any bald spot anyway.

They specifically downsized the BATB castle so as to not compete with the D2C set, which was meant to be the flagship set of the franchise. But considering how quickly that was retired, it seems like it was a big blunder to not make the BATB castle the new flagship set. It really needed to be a much bigger castle and I hope we'll get a larger remake in the future.

I’m glad Toy Story is getting more coverage this year, but does anyone feel a little sad that we don’t get any normal playscale sets for it?

Even just a couple of sets based on the films would genuinely be lovely to round off the main cast. It seems like a missed opportunity to just focus on 4+, 18+, and buildable characters - in essence literally every option except normal sets.

I guess there may not be a market for this sort of thing but I find that hard to believe. I’ll be curious to see if the 4+ Wild West is based on the Woody’s Roundup set from 2010 or the opening scene from Toy Story 3 (that would be awesome!).

Toy Story 3 and Toy Story 4 both got playscale sets so I'm wondering if TS4 sets didn't sell well enough which is why they're skipping out on TS5. We did get that Toy Story anniversary train set last year.

If someone got a glimpse of something from Woody's Roundup (as more of a "legacy" set than something specifically TS5), it could have easily been mistaken for a generic Western set.

No, I meant it was previously named Toy Story: Wild West, which sounds like a TS2 set, not a TS5 one
