Superminister Posted February 10 Posted February 10 (edited) My submission for Bricklink Designer Program Series 10 is a huge Pirate Ship. Check it out here for more images and a detailed description including a video: https://www.bricklink.com/v3/designer-program/series-10/3902/Pirate-Galleon-REVENANT I tried to blend the classic Pirates style with an intricate ship design. It is my first large-scale Pirates MOC, so any feedback is appreciated! And don't forget to vote for the submission if you like it ;) Edited February 11 by Superminister Quote
berninhr Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Awesome work! Very impressive for your first large scale build. The shaping around the bow is well done but I feel the upper hull part may look better in brown to match the rest of the ship Quote
Superminister Posted May 13 Author Posted May 13 I resubmitted this model for BDP Series 11 with some changes. After getting somewhat mixed feedback about the sails in the last round, I decided to depict furled sails this time. Overall I tried to save as many parts as possible, with the model now sitting at a little over 3000 parts compared to 4000 in the previous round. I kept all of the original functions intact and refined them, such as the top deck lifting off and the cannon mechanism. Check out the link below to see more images and a more detailed description. Feel free to leave your vote as well! https://www.bricklink.com/v3/designer-program/series-11/4854/Pirate-Galleon-Revenant Quote

Unfortunately, the palette of available parts has changed quite drastically for the upcoming BDP series. Also, the Revenant didn't get as much attention in the last round. I feel like most of the attention shifted to the Galleon Esperanza by BrickPerfection - deservedly so! But that means that I will focus on a new project for the next round. Quote
