FlyInSpace Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Let's start the year with another classic ship from the Star Wars Rebels series: here is my take on the Arquitens-class command cruiser, in Midi-Scale. This compact model consists of 845 parts, making it a pretty dense and intricate build for its size. I went with my usual SNOT approach here, just as I would on larger builds. Fortunately, the ship’s angles (especially in the rear section) were forgiving enough that I didn’t need any wedge plates, which allowed me to go full SNOT on the entire hull. One of the most enjoyable parts of this design was the rear section: recreating the angled superstructure that covers the engine array and incorporating greebles in the back was a top priority for this model. Once I had that portion solved, along with the design for the wing trenches, the rest of the ship came together naturally. The removable stand can be modified to be taller in case you want to display the Arquitens next to bigger models. It's quick and straightforward to put together, making it a fun and satisfying build. ► Instructions for the Arquitens are available at BrickVault! More pictures on my Flickr page. Quote
