mattias_bygger Posted January 24 Posted January 24 Hi folks! I'm trying to design custom minifigure tools. I need a model of a minifigure that is as accurate to real life as possible when it comes to the dimensions. Does anyone have a recommendation? Right know I'm wondering about the angle of the hands. In the LDRAW library it seems to say 14.5°. Is that correct? (https://library.ldraw.org/parts/7189) Quote
mattias_bygger Posted January 25 Author Posted January 25 It's not that easy to do. Especially with a complex form like the arms of the minifigures. Quote
mattias_bygger Posted January 25 Author Posted January 25 I will try to extract the 3D-models from Lego Digital Designer and LDRAW, but I can't be sure they are very exact either. It would be nice to do a 3D-scan of a figure. Quote
mattias_bygger Posted January 29 Author Posted January 29 I'm answering my own topic here... LDRAW seems to have a quite accurate minifigure. It seems that Lego Studio 2.0 uses the same model. LEGO Studio produces more detailed exports than the LDRAW applications LView and LeoCAD. So I exported a 3D-model in the obj-format from LEGO Studio 2.0. I had to scale it by a factor of 0.4 to get the correct size. Quote
