NOD Posted February 10 Posted February 10 I'm glad that I can pre-order this beautiful ship! The pre-order version is a further improvement. The Lego version of Bartholomew Roberts' Jolly Roger is very funny. There are more blue bricks on the ship's hull. This is truly a very beautiful frigate, with many details On 2/6/2026 at 9:36 PM, cehnot said: Anybody else excited to use the frame as a new official lego base for ships in the future? As much as I love the new Black Pearl, I think the shape of this frame would be a better solution that would work well for galleons as well. The best part is how easy it could be adapted into wider or narrower ship designs. Its a perfect black pearl expansion length and would easily accomidate the 9 cannon design. I'm excited too, and I see it. If I widen the frame, then I can also build higher. The ship's hull needs to be wider at the bottom so that I can build upwards and make it narrower. One could also make a galleon out of that. Quote

They look great! And about half the price of LEGO... Quote
RichardGoring Posted February 13 Posted February 13 Another video review, this one from Brick Quest. Quote

Brick Quest has probably the most comprehensive review - he goes through the entire crew and a bunch of references, including to the Imperial Flagship and Master & Commander in under 10 min! Brickin Awesome Videos did some jaw-dropping stop-motion animation on the whole building process of the model - it's mesmerising to watch for the animation work alone, and you can also see how the ship is built - without taking too long. Franco Clarke Posted February 14 Posted February 14 That's a tease, I look forward to seeing it fully out of it's shipping package. Quote
TalonCard Posted February 14 Posted February 14 Phes can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that's just a fan mock up teaser image--the real box is likely to be the same as the other Bricklink boxes we've had so far. Quote

Elephant Knight Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Well Lego.com was as slow as molasses, but I got my order in! Should arrive just in time for my birthday! EKnight Quote
azog Posted February 16 Posted February 16 I just placed my pre-order! Huge shout-out to Brick Perfection, as this set is literally the definition of perfection. All the historical accuracies are just incredible! My army of Bluecoats will definetly be needing this to fight off those pesky Pirates, that Barracuda doesn't stand a chance! Thank you Brick Perfection! Quote
Shiva Posted February 16 Posted February 16 I'm 1 of those that preordered it too. I would be quite surprised and disappointed, if it would not hit the needed limit to be produced. O wait, it is Funded. As is W.A.L.T. And the rest of the sets too. Series 7 is the one where all the sets were to my liking, But, I only went for this ship and W.A.L.T. The rest, I can not afford. Shiva Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Ships that looks like, or reminds of frigate Fortuna. iragm Posted February 17 Posted February 17 Pre ordered two copies, have not been this excited about a set since Lion Knight's Castle. I am avoiding any reviews so I can enjoy all the details during the build. Quote
zinnn Posted February 17 Posted February 17 Am I the only one uncomfortable about this sail not being connected to front part of the hull? Quote
BrickPerfection Posted February 18 Posted February 18 18 hours ago, zinnn said: Am I the only one uncomfortable about this sail not being connected to front part of the hull? I intentionally left those off because it requires additional pieces (and strings) and my general line for Fortuna is that you don't need any additional pieces to mount the Sails! In my defence, LEGO's Endurance doesn't have them either! Probably to make it easier to build the set. I did however prepare attachment points on the hull, so it's easy to add them! Just need a 1x2 round plate with open studs for the blocks and some strings. Quote
Fletch Posted February 19 Posted February 19 (edited) I really appreciate your commitment and hard work putting the frigate together, you've thought of everything us pirates fans could have asked for! Edited February 19 by Fletch Quote
Wolfpack Posted February 20 Posted February 20 It looks like there is no more 150k limit on the ordered sets??? Fortuna 40k Sushi 40k Alchimist 45k WALT 20k? Antique collection min 15k? I do not understand. They said the limit is 30-50k per set and 150k total. Quote

They are flexible quantities per set based on how fast they sold, but the entire series cannot exceed 150k total orders. So if one isnt selling like Walt, then they took the 10k abd moved it to Fortuna making it 40k instead of 30k. They took 15k from anttique collection abd moved it to alchimist making it 45k. The flexible order quantities were a result in past series where they saw certain sets that would have sold more than others and could have benefited from increased quantities. Quote

Major benefit of the new system is that popular sets no longer sell out in a few hours! Mountain Fortress was gone in 3 hours I think, so here in Australia you had to get up at 3am and by 6am it was already sold out! Quote

Doesn't matter, as soon as the total of 150k has been reached, it'll still be sold out. "Pre-ordering ends on February 23rd, 2026 at 12 PM Pacific time, or once all sets sell out" Edited February 22 by BrickPerfection Quote
Wolfpack Posted February 22 Posted February 22 No, it cannot work this way. You have a fantastic build, but the creators of WALT and antique collection are promised up to 30k sets according to the rules. They cannot simply stop selling them before the end because of other sets. They explicitly said the reallocation can be made only for the amount of sets that are ceratain not to sell. Otherwise a top selling set could just theoretically sell 149k sets in an hour and everyone else would be screwed. Quote
BrickPerfection Posted February 22 Posted February 22 Hmm I think you may be right. We have never had the case that 150k was reached across the Series. You're right that if it's shut down when reaching 150K, they'd indeed be taking a couple of sales from all the sets that are still below 30k. Which BrickLink said they wouldn't do. So maybe they added the additional caps to the better selling ones because in their data they couldn't see the total of 150K being exceeded (by much)? Will be interesting to see how it develops.
