Feuer Zug Posted December 30, 2025 Posted December 30, 2025 Good looking space cruiser. Lots of NPU all around. Quote
lowlead Posted December 30, 2025 Posted December 30, 2025 Fantastic! @MKJoshA, thank you for posting this on the front page - I might have missed it otherwise. Clearly inspired by the Starship Yamato, yes? I especially like how the vessel is bristling with antennae and sensor arrays - it certainly adds to the 'realism.' Another feature that impresses me is the level of micro-scale detail you have achieved with the hangar bays, small fighters / support craft and decks open to space. Everything from the color scheme, engine detail and greeblies are top-notch. Great use of those old style Technic bushings with teeth! (environmental handling?) Mostly studless, but not entirely - perfect mix. Any plans for instructions, or? Quote
Sunder Posted December 31, 2025 Author Posted December 31, 2025 Thank you. I saw Space Battleship Yamato a long time ago and can't remember almost anything. I don't even remember which version I watched. I know I liked design of destroyers there. Anyway. When I was building this ship, I didn't think about Space Battleship Yamato at all. May be in back of my mind. Original plan was to make hull inspired by sea ships, but not so direct. However, the more I refined shape, the more it looked like sea ship. I don't dislike the end result, but now I would like to tweak proportions a bit. There are no plans for instructions. Some modifications must be done to build it IRL. Moreover, I don't care about colours availability. But you can see construction in editor on Mecabricks. Quote
Sebeus I Posted January 2 Posted January 2 Beautiful! I love the U-boat-like silhouette, excellent choice of colours as well, is that medium nougat on the bow? Quote
