Hello, I've finally found some time to show you one of my latest projects. The Railjet is already available in many versions!
My version is still missing!
At exhibitions, people kept asking me to build one!
Now here's the result:
The locomotive is 7 wide!

Nice one! I am not a trains guys, but this is a siemens taurus right? Just so that I know I compare it to the right type.

I like the style with the red, grey, black stripes done with plates. But also that front end design with the angle. Seeing the benefit for your boogies when using the 7wide.

Nicely clean constructed and recognizable!

Is the color transition from light gray to red constructed with parts in coral?

Hello Thomas,
No, the stripe is normal red!
The locomotive is actually dark red—the photo just made it look that way!

So I assume it will be on display at the next model building fair (Modellbau Messe) in Ried? 😉

I knew I recognized your models and your layout from somewhere 😅

Greetings from Linz 👋🏻

10 years ago, 7 wide was almost the standard, in "serious" building . But now I think 8 wide (1:48) is defenetly established. I remember one of the bigger advantages of 7 wide was the more prototypical. wheel size. But if you are building Emglish rolling stock, they should be 7 wide, if you want to keep them around the 1:48 scale.

Solid Vectron model. Does it make the appropriate sounds when starting to move?

It is a Siemens Taurus (1116 series in Austria), not a Vectron.
