DAN42BR Posted December 15, 2025 Posted December 15, 2025 (edited) Hello, I've finally found some time to show you one of my latest projects. The Railjet is already available in many versions! My version is still missing! At exhibitions, people kept asking me to build one! Now here's the result: The locomotive is 7 wide! Edited December 15, 2025 by DAN42BR Quote
Selander Posted December 16, 2025 Posted December 16, 2025 Good, clean design ! Nice to see more 7-wide locomotives 🤗🙌 Quote
LL1982 Posted December 16, 2025 Posted December 16, 2025 Nice one! I am not a trains guys, but this is a siemens taurus right? Just so that I know I compare it to the right type. I like the style with the red, grey, black stripes done with plates. But also that front end design with the angle. Seeing the benefit for your boogies when using the 7wide. Quote
Ts__ Posted December 16, 2025 Posted December 16, 2025 Nicely clean constructed and recognizable! Is the color transition from light gray to red constructed with parts in coral? Thomas Quote

LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted December 16, 2025 Posted December 16, 2025 I also have my version of the Railjet in dark red and 7 studs wide ...and I think your locomotive is very well done! I love this livery! Quote

So I assume it will be on display at the next model building fair (Modellbau Messe) in Ried? 😉 I knew I recognized your models and your layout from somewhere 😅 Greetings from Linz 👋🏻 Patrick Quote
zephyr1934 Posted December 17, 2025 Posted December 17, 2025 That's very well done, I like the angles and curves on the build. You make it look easy Quote
lego3057 Posted December 17, 2025 Posted December 17, 2025 (edited) 10 years ago, 7 wide was almost the standard, in "serious" building . But now I think 8 wide (1:48) is defenetly established. I remember one of the bigger advantages of 7 wide was the more prototypical. wheel size. But if you are building Emglish rolling stock, they should be 7 wide, if you want to keep them around the 1:48 scale. Edited December 17, 2025 by lego3057 Quote
Feuer Zug Posted December 17, 2025 Posted December 17, 2025 Solid Vectron model. Does it make the appropriate sounds when starting to move? Quote
