MKJoshA Posted October 4, 2025 Posted October 4, 2025 Built for the Summer Joust 2025 Still Life category I made a life-size sword, shield and helmet. I was very honored to get mentioned by @Kai NRG in this month's Blocks magazine. Here are some closer shots of each item. And here's how I built the helmet: Thanks for looking! Quote
GeoBrick Posted October 4, 2025 Posted October 4, 2025 Nice detail on the sword's blade with the centerline indentation. The fleur de lis on the shield definitely puts de country on the map. The only thing missing is a picture of you with the helmet on. Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted October 4, 2025 Posted October 4, 2025 This is crazy ...absolutely brilliant! Quote

That's a really cool built tho. Quote
Jody Meyer Posted October 5, 2025 Posted October 5, 2025 so no picture with you wearing the helmet? Great job, I saw these on your flickr webpage ealier, congrats. Quote
Corydoras Posted October 5, 2025 Posted October 5, 2025 I love the sword and the shield. The helmet - not so much. Quote
MAP Tec Posted October 6, 2025 Posted October 6, 2025 Great idea. Love the shape and good work!!! Good use of parts by the way Quote
Feuer Zug Posted October 6, 2025 Posted October 6, 2025 How do they hold up on the field of honor? Really, great work making the tools of the knight at full scale. Nice crest on the shield. Quote

You can hold both the sword and shield, but neither are very study. I would need to do a lot more work to get them field ready Quote
I_really_want_that_gearbox Posted October 7, 2025 Posted October 7, 2025 That shield has to be heavy as heck. Quote
Seagull King of Vaughan Posted October 14, 2025 Posted October 14, 2025 Amazing! The shield makes a great display piece, and it has a very interesting shape that I’ve not seen elsewhere. Quote
domik Posted October 14, 2025 Posted October 14, 2025 Really cool! The helmet looks really nice and stands out. Quote
