Built for the Summer Joust 2025 Still Life category I made a life-size sword, shield and helmet.

 

Knightly Repose

I was very honored to get mentioned by @Kai NRG in this month's Blocks magazine.

Nice detail on the sword's blade with the centerline indentation.
The fleur de lis on the shield definitely puts de country on the map. :pir_tong2:

The only thing missing is a picture of you with  the helmet on.

That center indentation is called a "Fuller". That's a really cool built tho.

How do they hold up on the field of honor? Really, great work making the tools of the knight at full scale. Nice crest on the shield.

Unfortunately while the helmet is technically full size, it was just slightly too small to fit on my head. Though I did try :shrug_oh_well:

You can hold both the sword and shield, but neither are very study. I would need to do a lot more work to get them field ready :laugh:
