XTN Posted September 1, 2025 Posted September 1, 2025 It has been on my mind for sooo long, but only the Bronco fenders made it possible: 1970 American LaFrance 900 Series "Pumper" Fire Engine American LaFrance Pumper - Bricksafe It features: HOG steering with reduction fake V6 engine openable doors for driver and co-driver openable storage compartments: 2 * 4x2 studs, 4 * 3x4 studs ladder, hoses, fire extinguishers, axes, boxes (fit in the compartments, can be filled with all kinds of fire fighters' equipment) It's in "MACK" scale, like most 15 studs wide trucks. As said before, it heavily benefits from the new fender pieces from the Bronco. The only downside is, that the inner arches are available in black only. If they come in red or lbg, these are the ones I will swap. At first I was afraid, that the mounting point one stud inwards, compared to without the additional inner arch, might make the wheels collide with the chassis when turning. But everything works fine with the narrower truck tires. I will use these too to equip the rear axle with twin tires, but I need to order some first. Here are some more details: Thanks for reading. 2GodBDGlory Posted September 2, 2025 Posted September 2, 2025 Nicely done! Looks are good, and it's cool to see those new panels being used so effectively already Quote
grum64 Posted September 2, 2025 Posted September 2, 2025 What an awesome build. Instantly recognisable and with great attention to detail. Love all the accessories. Quote
Jurss Posted September 2, 2025 Posted September 2, 2025 Very good, especially, that it is fully technic, almost or no bricks. Quote
gyenesvi Posted September 2, 2025 Posted September 2, 2025 Looks beautiful, great use of the new fender parts! Let's hope for more to come in the same style! Quote
MangaNOID Posted September 2, 2025 Posted September 2, 2025 Super nice build! you captured the original very nicely Quote
Thirdwigg Posted September 2, 2025 Posted September 2, 2025 Stunning build! You keep getting better with these vehicles in this scale. Well done. Quote
Jundis Posted September 2, 2025 Posted September 2, 2025 What a cool build with so many small features. TLG should take note here! Quote
eric trax Posted September 2, 2025 Posted September 2, 2025 The model turned out very aesthetic! The level of detail is really high for a technic vehicle. It's nice to see something classic, not just modern trucks, in this scale :) Quote
XTN Posted September 3, 2025 Author Posted September 3, 2025 Thank you very much. I'm so overwhelmed by your positive feedback, especially because this vehicle has been a passion project I've had in my mind for a long time. The POC for the front fascia was sitting in a box for months, but the release of the Bronco and its fender pieces gave me the final push to start on this project. So happy TLG sells the Bronco in red. Btw there's another exclusive part from the Bronco that made it into the fire engine. Look at how smooth connector#7 follows the shape of the curved panels in the roof. So satisfying... Quote
thekoRngear Posted September 4, 2025 Posted September 4, 2025 (edited) I am mezmerized by the densely crafted looks! A truly marvelous MOC with tasteful choice of accessories Edited September 4, 2025 by thekoRngear Quote
Divitis Posted September 5, 2025 Posted September 5, 2025 It's a veeery interesting look, fully smooth if not for those exposed holes. It gives off a vintage vibe to me, almost as a modern interpretation of a classic model team set, only with holes exposed instead of studs Quote
