MaHo90 Posted August 17 Posted August 17 Privateer brig Scepter. Last year Lego presented the Harry Potter tournament set (76440) with the Durmstrang ship. I found that ship beautiful but a little small so I decided to build a brig based on the same ship body design and named it the "Scepter" because the figurehead has a staff with snake head in her hands. It's build as a little brig without a cabin or interior. For defense it has 6 little cannons, 2 on each side and 2 in the back. The vessel relies heavy on its speed and maneuverability. Quote
Yperio_Bricks Posted August 17 Posted August 17 That's a great little ship! I really like the first picture, even if the shallow depth of field makes it hard to make out some of the details.... A dashing small boat in dark waters in front of a mysterious jungle island Quote
GeoBrick Posted August 17 Posted August 17 Beautiful shaping on that brig. I can imagine her skeeling through the waves. And the hull is based upon the Durmstrang ship you say? Maybe I need to download the plans of that set. Quote

Offcourse, the Durmstrang is a carrack so it has a high for and aft castel. I lowered that, make it longer and wider so it looks as flush as possible. First the plan was to build a sloop with one mast but the lines where so clean and the ship looks longer than it is, so I decided to add a extra mast. I like the La Grace and that's the ship I loosely based it on. Maybe I going to change it to a snow brig but I am not sure at this moment. Edited August 17 by MaHo90 Quote
