[MOC] BMW M2 G87

Another little addition to the 15 module wide cars that fit the 42098 Car Transporter (now six years old!).

This recreation of the G87 series M2 is created with the following features:

• Fake S58 I6 engine
• Working steering with HOG
• Opening doors
• Opening trunk
• Opening hood
• Accurate recreation of the comically large dash screen and no manual transmission in most modern BWMs.

It's a nice little car. Though I would recommend using 3x7 panels for the doors to break up the beam stacking. You could also use the same panel for an engine cover.

If I was able to create such a tiny little beauty, I would have preferred a panel as well.

However, I see the advantages of beam stacking: Clear lines, no holes, a smooth surface (superior stability, if this is considered important in this scale and size).

Using a 3x7 panel would still need some beams and/or connectors, and so it wouldn't provide that clean look.

You know, I didn't even consider that as an option while building. I guess it was on my mind today, as I started another car.

I can't fit a 3x7 on the hood without making it taller, but I agree a little more filling out of the hood would have been a good idea.
