I don't think there is enough of a volume to make a big impact on a line's indent, they just have a vocal presence.

Of course they are free to do it, and everyone is free to do whatever they want with their money, and everyone is free to watch their videos, but I think that things like those are not a vocal presence, and don't help to maintain Lego prices. In fact, Lego is feeling justified and promoted to increase their prices.

That's why I don't like and I don't see any of them.

The MOC's are actually cool though

@A. Skywalker The clips are outliers and I suspect that while some would need sets for characters the volume of pieces and what not are through PaB, figures probably through a number of second hand sellers. Also the EU magazines with the paper bag minifigs appear to be quite handy.

YT reviewers aren't the real problem if we're being honest, they have influence but I suspect any company would be able to factor the impact in and perhaps it would only be in the 1-2 % range at all, if it were that high.

for the view of those MOCs its worth it.

I find MandR very annoying, not because of his criticism of Lego but how he goes about it.  He has a lot of weird axes to grind that I find off-putting, and he comes off as very entitled when he feels as though Lego is not catering to him specifically.  This is both obnoxious and ironic, considering he has had a greater influence on Lego's production than any YTuber other than Tiago.  That being said, I haven't watched one of his videos in years because he got to be so grating to me, and maybe he has improved. But my life is just fine scrolling past his clickbait videos when they do end up on my feed.

He's also not the only Lego reviewer I'm not a fan of.  I also don't care for Solid Brix, who often seems not to have even a basic knowledge of a lot of sets he reviews (leading to often-frustrating mispronunciations repeated throughout his reviews).

But my solution for both of these folks is pretty simple: I don't watch them.  Others are free to disagree and enjoy them.   However, I am perfectly happy watching Jang, Tiago, and Brickclicker these days.

Yeah I really appreciate Solid Brix for going in on the Turbo Tank problems, but there are a lot of cases where he gets stuff wrong. E.g. last year in his review of the Mandalorian S3 battle set he said the Paz Vizsla minifigure was identical to the one in the Forge set but it clearly isn't. Just a little more research would really help in cases like that; it's not like it's a livestream where he has to do it all in one take.

I can definitely see MandR being annoying but to me the important thing is that he's at least pointing out the obvious flaws with modern sets which a lot of people seem happy to ignore. As someone who's very focused on small details I'm just glad to see someone else who also picks up on that stuff (and if anything he's a lot more generous to LEGO than I am in some cases like with the flaws on Bly, where he had some of the flaws annotated in his review but actually missed a few more).

But stuff like the Rex microfighter complaint I just fundamentally disagree with. I'm not a fan of any minifigures being locked behind the huge sets, especially not important characters like Rex. And while I don't care too much about arm prints the quality should be consistent across the board (especially since this is the same company that makes all the instruction books so ugly nowadays in the name of "consistency").

I think the Rex criticism comes from the fact that Lego lied and said he was exclusive in the instruction manual of the UCS Venator.
