Sven J Posted Tuesday at 05:40 PM Posted Tuesday at 05:40 PM Hi there, while trying to log in today, I noticed that it's not possible by entering username + password any more, but now requires email + password. Is that a bug, a new security feature, or can I choose login options somewhere in my account settings? Thanks in advance for answering! Kind regards, Sven Quote

(I think for security?) They warned us about it some time ago, and there was a banner up on top of the page all yesterday. @aFrInaTi0n has more details in one of his threads.. can't remember where / which one. aFrInaTi0n Posted Tuesday at 07:02 PM Posted Tuesday at 07:02 PM eah it is expacted to raise security - I think my newsposzing was too early. so yes this is all known and intentionally done to allow better security Quote
Sven J Posted Tuesday at 07:27 PM Author Posted Tuesday at 07:27 PM @Murdoch17 and @aFrInaTi0n, thank you both! 1 hour ago, Murdoch17 said: and there was a banner up on top of the page all yesterday. Oh. One day not visiting EB, and already missed something... 20 minutes ago, aFrInaTi0n said: I think my newsposzing was too early. Don't blame yourself for that. I think it's rather for my browsing habits that I missed it - I rarely visit the frontpage and instead go to the several forums I'm interested in directly (have Firefox favourites for them). Quote
aFrInaTi0n Posted Tuesday at 08:43 PM Posted Tuesday at 08:43 PM It is may bad of bad planning - the initial announcement was too far in the past & I just put the notice banner on the page yesterday as a "last minute" reminder for people possibly getting logged out because of the change & them knowing what the reason may be. So @Sven J you did nothing wrong - possibly only I did.. Next time I may give less time between the news for such change to let people not forget it already & possibly putting a reminder there for over 1-2 days before. Also I am encouraging people to bring up topics like this, as it allows for others to catch up in information - so I am also more than happy with that thread here. ♥ Best regards Quote
