Scapuc Posted Monday at 05:47 PM Posted Monday at 05:47 PM Hi guys, I'm rebuilding the 8480 Shuttle set and the electrical cables are crumbled. I would like to replace them; can you tell me what cable is needed? The measurements? If someone has an Amazon link... Thanks everyone. Quote
Scapuc Posted Monday at 06:05 PM Author Posted Monday at 06:05 PM Thanx. I saw this post few months ago and I buyed from aliexpress link recommended, but today I tried and saw cable is too small and it doesn't work. There isn't this cable on amazon Italy. Is it good this to replace 9v cable? https://www.amazon.it/QUARKZMAN-Flessibile-Modellino-Automobile-Elettrico/dp/B0CPSKT46R/ref=sr_1_25?__mk_it_IT=ÅMÅŽÕÑ&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.TJXYLnWvZYBT06M1vVr66Cmd1BO5bVbvsxa53DXt5NLb1Rgn5DyejIbWYKlLDTS-Q0sn-0YVaz5im-PExDy7jzzT5SY4iK1d6cfI1OV7js8sihKTOA8OM4Ou9DKqZlyIJ5c1v49kX2DPta4WQeyy27p1mUpe0M6NcSNsqLTTk_MtbHJudNLPvzEv2rRAMpT2Y9V7LgyW-fJF7d0T9Os0u_4rWf1-kswJ2MrNgAdwstXXnDVpOZSyw4-gVJqhLE1aZZWlDMqc-VNHTbUMS3cW0qxbDV9b9up-RR_fERWqwwc.5lo5wrwHQKt5eGybM88_66oP0Z1brij_GGBuravP-_4&dib_tag=se&keywords=24+awg+2+p+flat&qid=1750701031&sr=8-25 Quote
allanp Posted Monday at 07:54 PM Posted Monday at 07:54 PM (edited) I bought a reel of the stuff recommended by @BatteryPoweredBricks and it's an excellent replacement, think this is it now, though I can't see if it's available on amazon Italy: https://www.amazon.co.uk/BNTECHGO-Silicone-Ribbon-Flexible-Parallel/dp/B07PPSKVNN?pd_rd_w=2fFvY&content-id=amzn1.sym.53c023fa-aa03-47a3-91b1-e91ac4bf7bd6&pf_rd_p=53c023fa-aa03-47a3-91b1-e91ac4bf7bd6&pf_rd_r=YX8FAXDZQZZ2JST91VME&pd_rd_wg=FmDeh&pd_rd_r=9bd981b6-3f84-4c52-8fa7-02670c1f9a07&ref_=pd_bap_d_grid_rp_csi_pd_ys_c_rfy_rp_crs_0_t&th=1 Buying this 6 stranded cable means that I can split off 3 pairs of twin cables, two of the pairs won't have any white strip on them so they look closer to the original as well. The one you linked to looks pretty much the same, silicone coated cable so should be nice and flexible like the original cable, though I haven't tried that exact one. Note that an original cable fits perfectly in the gap between 2 studs, and from memory this is used in 8480. The gap between 2 studs is 3.2mm, so each core should be 1.6mm. The one you linked appears to advertise having that exact size. Edited Monday at 08:00 PM by allanp Quote
