MAP Tec Posted June 15 Posted June 15 (edited) Front suspension with the new wishbone parts: Rear Suspension: What´s up Lego Technic and car fans, Here I present the first of eight 1:8 hypercars, the Koenigsegg Agera RS. Each of my eight cars has its own individual color mix, here we have white, black and red, a perfect match for the car in my opinion. As you can see, there are unfortunately a few Lego parts not available in white, so I'll have to improvise and wait for them to appear in white at some point... Fun Fact: The dashboard features three cogwheels with 1x1 tiles representing the colors of the country in which the hypercar is produced, seen here in blue and yellow for Sweden. The functions are gearshift, steering and height-adjustable suspension (hopefully ;D) I used Anto's design for the gearbox: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-26948/Anto/compact-8-speed-sequential-gearbox/#details At some point I will definitely finish this car and make a construction manual for it :D I hope you like and support my work ;D With kind regards MAP Tec Instagram: maptec.baut YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@MAPTecbaut/videos Functions: 1. Suspension 2. Openable doors with working door handle 3. Openable hood 4. Openable trunk 5. 8-speed gearbox and Drive - Neutral - Reverse and working V8 Engine 6. Working handbrake 7. HOG Steering with working steering wheel 8. Full interior with adjustable seats, glove compartment and rear view mirror ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Optional: 8. Maybe Height-Adjustable Suspension 9. Front lights move with steering 10. Moving rear spoiler 11. Sun visors 12. Tank cap, can be opened by lever from the interior 13. Trunk and hood can be opened via lever in the interior Edited June 16 by MAP Tec Contribution was not yet complete Quote
Paul B Technic Posted June 15 Posted June 15 That has a good shape, some of the colours are a bit interesting, any plans to change those? Quote

Thank you for this comment :D. Please read the description, unfortunately these parts are not yet available in white from Lego... 9 hours ago, damian_kane_iv said: The outside looks pretty nice Glad you like it :D Quote
thekoRngear Posted June 16 Posted June 16 (edited) Liked the doors and their functioning! And that hand brake is cherry on the top! Keep at it Edited June 16 by thekoRngear Quote
SNIPE Posted June 16 Posted June 16 (edited) I have a design for adjustable ride height (not suspension as people misname it), it supports a differential, the shocks from 42172, and steering. I'll make a digital model for them after I p1pst them on the pimp mclaren p1 tread. But how about a flappy paddle gearbox? Edited June 16 by SNIPE Quote
JesseNight Posted June 16 Posted June 16 Amazing build! Both on outside looks and functionality. Good luck on further progress! Shame those arches don't exist in white... (fingers crossed for the future?) Quote
CK28 Posted June 16 Posted June 16 Looks already great, first photo is stunning! Isn't some of the shaping on the front a bit fragile tho (especially the red details)? Anyway i will hope those arches arrive in white very soon! Quote

I will post another seven cars here, these also have a working handbrake ^^ 2 hours ago, SNIPE said: I have a design for adjustable ride height (not suspension as people misname it), it supports a differential, the shocks from 42172, and steering. I had a flappy paddle gearbox on my previous version, I think it's good to make it realistic, but it's not as advantageous in practice as just a gearwheel on the dashboard ;D 57 minutes ago, JesseNight said: Amazing build! Thank you very much for this motivation and the comment. I also hope that the next Lego 2026 car will be in white with these body frames ;D 31 minutes ago, CK28 said: Looks already great, first photo is stunning! I always try to build everything as stable as possible, even the red tuning effects here. In general, everything is stable, I made sure there were enough connections ;D. I'm hoping to get the white Lego carrosser frames next year ;D Quote
Alex Ilea Posted Friday at 08:01 PM Posted Friday at 08:01 PM Looking really good, especially the side and rear! Quote
Teo LEGO Technic Posted Friday at 08:09 PM Posted Friday at 08:09 PM Between this beautiful build and your Tumbler, I am subscribed, you are going places sir 🫡 I'm wondering why you chose to add the third shock absorber on the rear axle, the one on top parallel to the driveshaft? Is it like that on the real Agera, and if so, what is its purpose in addition to the other two? 7 minutes ago, Alex Ilea said: Looking really good, especially the side and rear! De acord ;) Quote

The Koenigsegg has a Triplex Suspension System, which I have tried to implement. Have a look at a few pictures on Google ;D. It improves the handling under extreme acceleration. The system consists of three dampers on the rear axle, with the third damper taking on a lateral function to stabilize the vehicle when driving straight ahead. The Koenigsegg has a Triplex Suspension System Quote

Found a great video about it - it not only reduces squat during acceleration, but also improves performance and comfort, working with their Z-shaped anti-roll bar: Would you consider trying to incorporate their unique anti-roll bar into your design? That is feasible in itself, but I will leave it at this design ;D. But there are also other Lego MOC designers who have managed this system, such as “Dugald Lego”. He built the successor of the Agera, the Regera ^^ Quote

Just checked out Dugald's version, very cool as well! Quote
