Sérgio Posted May 30 Posted May 30 Hi everyone, Here’s a small hot rod I put together recently – I’m calling it the Blaze Burner. It’s a compact build with a bit of attitude, inspired by classic street racers and flame-painted muscle cars. I tried to keep it simple but with a few fun touches. For the wheels, I used the Exo-Force projectile disks in that marbled lime-yellow pattern — they give a cool glowing effect The front grille uses two Barb / Claw / Tooth with Clip pieces to give it a kind of jagged, mechanical “snarl.” I liked how it turned out visually without needing too much complexity. Other small details include: A visible engine block with a blower on top Flame elements on the exhausts Oversized back wheels for that dragster stance Black base with orange and red accents to carry the fire theme It’s a simple build, but one that I had a lot of fun putting together. Feedback and suggestions are always welcome – I’m still learning a lot from seeing what others do here on Eurobricks. Thanks for taking a look! Quote
Toastie Posted June 1 Posted June 1 Like always ... and then in black/red/gold (yellow) Thank you very much for sharing! All the best Thorsten Quote
ER0L Posted June 1 Posted June 1 Looks great - both the overall shaping and especially the engine design! The height is also very minifig-friendly. And I love those tiles - didn’t know them either. Just one small suggestion: maybe try replacing the second layer of the roof with black parts to create a thinner roofline? Just an idea. Either way an inspiring MOC (which sadly remind me that there’s still not a single hot rod or rat rod on the R66 layout - and there really should be a few by now). Quote

When I was building it, I started by placing only the flames on the roof layer, but I didn't like the result. So I ended up moving on to the plates that hold the tiles. Can't wait to see some rods made by you! Quote
Feuer Zug Posted June 2 Posted June 2 Wicked chop top, rat rod. Great use of the classic LEGO tyres. The minifig's hair and face work perfectly too. Ready to cruise the strip. Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted June 4 Posted June 4 Beautiful car in its explosive livery! You make your constructions so real that I can feel the vibes! Quote
