Auroralampinen Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago Well, i wasn't planning on joining contest. But, since i had an idea before hand, to build some kind of motorized track vehicle. I decided to join as well:). Here is progress so far. I wanted to build an excavator, but one night i got an idea to build something different entirely, with the same chassis that i was builded before hand. So, i decided to make this an modernized and motorized version of the 8294 b model. Functions. Independently controlled tracks, Superstructure rotation, Dumping. Power functions elements. 1x, XL motor 1x, battery box Progress so far:). Video showing this moving:). Ps... This was my first working tracked vehicle ever. My previous attemps(before the dark ages) were failures. But now, i have got a working tracked vehicle:). Quote

Zerobricks Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago It looks rather unstable with the short tracks, especially when dumping. Quote

Load capasity(without tipping over) 300g load capasity(with tipping over problem) over 1kg. Wow, i might now make the tracks longer. Because this is some serious lifting capasity:). Well, i did put some counterweights. And wow, this can handle 1kg load:). Quote
Auroralampinen Posted 13 hours ago Author Posted 13 hours ago In case you are wondering the size. Here is the Tracked Outback Dumper, next to Sunnyside Beachshark GTR:). Quote
Auroralampinen Posted 3 hours ago Author Posted 3 hours ago Well, i have to say this is really fun to play with. Its not 42055 slow. Its perfect. And while this seems unstable, im engineering this to bee perfectly balanced. And im already achieved that. This is not back heavy or front heavy. And im happy with 300g lifting capasity. It should be enought for lego pieces dumping:). Quote
