SpacePolice89 Posted May 10 Posted May 10 About ten years ago when I attended a hockey game in Anaheim, California I noticed that Frederik Andersen the Danish goalie of the Ducks had a Lego inspired goalie mask and today when I am watching Denmark play against Switzerland on TV in the world championships I noticed that the Danish goalie Sebastian Dahm also has a Lego inspired mask. I found some pictures of those goalie masks as well as some others. Sebastian Dahm, EC KAC Frederik Andersen, Anaheim Ducks Frederik Andersen, Toronto Maple Leafs Frederik Andersen, Carolina Hurricanes Quote
Feuer Zug Posted May 12 Posted May 12 Wicked! Never really noticed that before, but they don't often get a good close up of the goalie. Thanks for sharing. Quote

Thanks for sharing. It's great to see that there are NHL players that like Lego. I also found this fun video on Reddit. Edited May 12 by SpacePolice89 Quote
Lion King Posted May 13 Posted May 13 Pretty cool!!! I wonder if they keep that lego—inspired goalie mask somehwere like Hall of Fame? For example, I’m visually impaired and my brother-in-law and I went to Major League Baseball’s hall of fame in Cooperstown, NY. He saw a Balitmore ortiles jersey in Braille. I would love to see lego-inspired sports gears like this goalie mask! By the way, I’m a fan of Boston Bruins. Quote

I believe that masks and other stuff will be displayed only after a goalie retires and and both goalies are still active. Maybe if someone at the HHOF is an AFOL it could happen. When you mentioned Braille I remembered that there is a plastic model of the side of the Caribbean Clipper that people can touch at the Lego House and Braille text explaining what it is. It was a big shame that the Bruins traded Brad Marchand. Even as a Ducks fan I have always liked Brad Marchand. Quote

That could make sense why - I visited NHL’s Hall of Fame in Toronto, Canada and I didn’t see any goalie mask relating to Lego back in 2017. I would be very thrilled to find a Lego—inpsired goalie mask or other gears in dispaly at Hall of Fame! Whoa, I didn’t know that there was a Braille text at Lego House. I’m very glad that it allows blind / visually impaired lego fans to touch. Ugh…. I know, right - I was very disappointed that they gave Brad away. I always love him too and Bruins is not in good shape this time. Quote
