LCP Posted August 30 Posted August 30 The concept design of the Coast Guard sets will be entirely consistent with the 60453 set, and the 2026 summer sets will be relatively large given the recommended age group. Quote

That makes sense. I can't wait to see how the final products look in December. Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted August 30 Posted August 30 Thanks for the news! Police Train, Lego Van, Taxi and Fries Food Truck sound very promising! I hope that the Airport will be Winter themed, so it would go nicely with the Emergency Airplane of this year and some Winter Village sets. And hopefully the Cement Mixer as well as the Airport Fire Truck will both have telescopic arms with cannons (for cement / water) on it - otherwise these vehicles would be too similar to older ones and therefore not interesting for me. Since the Airport Fire Truck is that huge (from price and size), could there also be a small burning plane included? Btw: According to Brickmerge, the Police Train and the F1 set are for sale firstly in March. Quote

Plus I really hope for some civilian buildings (esp. shops) for the summer wave. With Lego releasing only two new and very small animals molds for City 2025, I'm very pessimistic which concerns new and esp. big animals for 2026. That we'll get some sort of new animal based theme like Outback, Forest or again Savannah is imo regrettably excluded. Quote

The sets with subtheme outside the City usually appear in the summer releases so hopefully we will get some better opportunities for animals then. I keep saying it but Lego needs to really crack on with a Savannah subtheme. We have seen more frequent animal releases in recent years but the fact there is no hippo, giraffe, rhino or zebras yet is a glaring omission in terms of Lego animal availability. I’m sure these four won’t all be released in one wave, so we need to visit Africa soon so that even if two are introduced, it won’t be a decade before we get the other two. Plus, many other perhaps less iconic African wildlife like gazelles, buffalo, hyenas, meerkats, okapi, warthogs, honey badgers still would be missing. Quote
danimarroquin Posted Friday at 04:08 PM Posted Friday at 04:08 PM I'm really hoping the airport fire truck will be yellow lime like the American style ones, I think is time to give a break to the color red on airport fire trucks for now. Quote
Izzynufc-2 Posted 21 hours ago Author Posted 21 hours ago So the subthemes for Lego City Summer Subtheme has been confirmed Great Vehicles 60480 7+ 60492 4+ 60497 6+ 60512 6+ Trains 60506 7+ 60509 8+ My City 60497 5+ 60501 8+ 60511 6+ Very interesting age ranges, I reckon 60501 will be a new hospital, while 60480 will possibly be a new Dump Truck. I also think we will get a new passenger and freight train. If anyone has any other predictions please let me know Quote

Personally, I hope that the hospital will be the 6+ set and the 8+ will be some sort of Main street or town square since some shops for the inner city are absolutely overdue. The 5+ set will supposably be something smaller with less bricks - maybe another skatepark or finally an open-air public swimming pool? Yes, cargo and passenger train sound logical. Only theoretically one of these Trains sets could be a trackside structure, too. Quote
Powered by Bricks Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago (edited) With all these news it's interesting and(a bit ig) refreshing for both January and June Waves, My City return is long overdue. No exploration is interesting (F for the Animal Die-Hard fans) Trains in Both March and June? Interesting aswell. I'm curious if great vehicles includes more than just jumbo trucks and construction vehicles. I guess there's a possibility of us seeing a August-September Wave. Possibly including those beta test Jungle Sets as LEGO is supposedly wanting to release several smart brick sets. However said possibility is none other than pure speculation. There's also that 8+ set that hasn't any tag or subtheme, possibly a d2c town plan? Edited 4 hours ago by Powered by Bricks Quote
LCP Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago If a construction vehicle is released in June 2026, I think it's going to be a roller, a scraper (or a grader, a road stabilizer), or a crawler. Quote
