Hello everyone! :pir-love:

I'd like to introduce you to my first MOC, which has reached the final stage, which is construction with physical parts. It's also the first fully tested and finished model. The truth is, I'm a perfectionist, and getting this model to its final stage without any further changes has been a very long road, first through pure design with Stud.io, and then perfected with real parts. So, whenever I design a MOC, I set some basic goals, and generally they are:

  • Minifigs: They are the absolute protagonists. All my MOCs are always at their most suitable scale, and my designs always have to be usable by Minifigs.

  • Maximum possible interior and exterior detail.

  • Solid and viable construction.

  • Use of the cheapest and most common parts possible and a wide range of colors.

  • Always, always, always, official parts, without exception. And of course, no glue, destructive modifications, etc. I'm a purist in this regard. The only thing I'm open to (at the moment) is the use of unofficial train tracks (although my trains will always be able to run perfectly on official tracks).

I already told you, I'm a perfectionist hahaha! :snicker:  It's my obsession, and I can't help it. It's also the way I'm most interested (and enjoy) in building and designing, so what can I do?

Well, my little bus is 8 studs, as it's my favorite size, especially for heavy vehicles and trains. It's the one I get the most play with, to be honest. This bus can accommodate 5 seated minifigs, plus a few standing ones, and a driver. It has a side-opening passenger door, and its mechanism works incredibly well (much better than I thought!); in fact, I use this system in other MOCs I'm currently developing. It also has a retractable roof to view the entire interior, and of course, both the exterior and interior are detailed. Although the bus is entirely invented, both the color and model are based on some buses owned by the municipal company of the city of Madrid (Spain). It consists of 614 parts, weighs approximately 450 grams, and is 30.8 studs long.

A very sweet ride, love the windscreen use as well as that door mechanism and access ramp.

Thanks! That windshield, I think it gives "personality".

Reminds me of the friends bus (but with more than three seats :snicker:). Did you take inspiration perhaps?

Oh! you mind that set?

Not at all! Neither I am never interested in LEGO Friends line and really don´t know their designs. Pure coincidence, but really has a look in the ramp and configuration :snicker:

The inspiration was this bus that operate in one of the city line buses that serve in Madrid city, specialy designed for narrow strets of the historic city center:
