Wow! Excellent work on these coaches, @-DoNe-! 

I can't quite tell from your photos - are these coaches 7 studs wide or 8? 

If they are 8-wide, you might have interest in making the Emerald Night locomotive 8-wide. I've figured out a way to do it with minimal part swaps. My mod also makes the pilot/bufferbeam up front a true 8-wide, which I thought was one of the areas lest convincingly modeled on both the Emerald Night and Sapphire Star. Why does The Lego Group keep making steam engines with pilots that are narrower than the rest of the engine?

If you look at Done:s post from March 13, it is stated : coaches, tender and locomotive, all are 8-wide.

This is a wonderful build. The new coaches match the upgraded Emerald Night perfectly!

I really like the arched door design you've created for the coaches. I've been trying to find a suitable rear door for an observation car I've been building, and I may end up using this design. It's much more elegant than everything I came up with.

Can you tell me a bit more detail about how you've constructed the glass inlay? 

Is the glass just (qty 4) 1 x 2 translucent-clear tile with rounded 2 x 2 bottom plate to hold it in place?
Are the two horizontal yellow bands stickers, or are they plastic sprues from small Lego parts shoved in between/behind the tile?

Thank you! Yes you are onto me. For the doors two 1x4 trans clear tiles and two Plate, Round 2 x 2 with Rounded Bottom. Same for the round windows. It sits pretty well in the arch-pieces.
