Well now the 42203 launch is less than month away i decided to create topic wich is for the modifications and other improvement stuff for the 42203 since i have already created better version of the 42203 i will start with my better chassis design for the 42203

IMG_20250211_103113.jpg

Well when i created better version of the 42203 i later on realised that i have created something really big and yes i was right this chassis is opportunities goldmine now i try to make something different with almost the same chassis:)

And i will release instructions just for the cab and little bit for the middle section since this chassis is perfect for creating anything truck releated with the look of the 42203:)

Well now the cab 3d model is 90% done and i will make 2 instructions one for the cab and middle section and you can customize the rest of the truck for you own liking and truck needs and the second instructions are for the fully overhauled dump truck:)

Well now the cab and the middle section are completed now i have to make instructions for this and then for the fully overhauled dump truck and funnily enought my cab section alone uses all of the 42203 pieces:)

And funnily enought when i created the overhauled version i didn't look the 42203 topic and yes my version has everything that the @anyUser sayed for improments the flat 4 engine those bigger tires and differential and this was a kind of cool accidentaly coincidence :)

Hello @Auroralampinen

It's great to see your model progressing!
Your dedication is impressive.

However, posting updates too often might make it harder for people to follow along.
A daily update or a summary of progress at the end of the day would be much better.

Thanks, and have fun.

Update i often/sometimes forgot stuff completely and after 14 hours i waked up from sleep thinking something was wrong and i was right i forgot a step on digital instructions but since i uploaded the instructions to rebrickable and im waiting for approval i fixed that and put the step on model pictures and added the missing pieces and i will upload a 3d model of the complete version to here and that will have the missing pieces attached but atleast the 8043 mini instructions were perfect without any mistakes

I wonder if we move the actuator slightly if we can have another differential?

Possibly. The issue I run into was that limits the tilt of the bed. I’ll give it another try.

Well after over 24 hours of hard work and engineering with a ton of headaches now the 42203 works like 8052 container truck:)

Well it looked promising and cool but when i tryed to lift the bed from ground it didn't work and after demolishing the system i noticed the osprey fault cursed this the bed mechanism 8 tooth gear was broken so this didn't have strenght to lift the bed so back to the dravingboard and i will try to keep few days off from this build:)

Alright, it's time for another update to 42203 with a little Garbage Truck version.

As was pointed out by someone on Rebrickable, I may have moved passed this being a modification, and it's just a new MOC. But either way, the MOC is heavily influenced by 42203, so I'll let it slide.

Instructions are available at Rebrickable.com.

I started with the Upgraded Chassis (see above) for this MOC, and then added a Garbage Collection Box to the rear of the truck. As such, the truck features:

  • Steering with HOG
  • Opening doors
  • Tipping cab
  • I4 engine with RWD
  • Tipping rear garbage box.
  • Opening rear compactor
  • Working rear compactor cycle
  • Bin tipper/dumping

And a little video to show the functions.

Enjoy!

From a "garbage" truck to a garbage truck, I see what you did there

Hah! I'm not as hard on 42203 as others, and yet, it needed some improvements. Also, I'm always looking for an excuse to make a Garbage Truck.

RC mod:

I would like to combine this mod with thirdwigg's mods , I have 2 of those micro motors already, one for cabin tilt, the other for the tipper, but i still want 2 differentials so ill need to repositon one of the micro motors.

I will use a spike prime small angular motor for steering and maybe a control+ L motor for drive with a buwizz 3.0
