Ammiraglio_Artic Posted February 5 Posted February 5 (edited) Good morning! I’d like to introduce you to the modifications I made to the Ninjago 71747 The Keepers' Village set, which was released in 2021. Little by little, I will also try to present the other work I have done over the years for LEGO Pirates. I apologize in advance if my English is not perfect—it's not my native language. Thus, we arrive at the Island of Fogs, located in the southern part of Governor Broadside's Caribbean colony, inhabited by the indigenous tribe of King Kahuka. The Oropacos (as the tribe is sometimes called in the italian catalogs) lead a peaceful existence here, but their treasures are highly coveted by the most ruthless pirates, who try in every way to seize them. However, more often than not, thanks to the cunning of the tribal chief and the bravery of his warriors, the buccaneers are forced to return to their ships empty-handed! A staple of the Islanders sets is Captain Ironhook, "the terror of the southern seas," as he introduces himself in the 1990s radio dramas. I’ve given him a new look, just as LEGO did with Captain Redbeard in Barracuda Bay. The trap remains unchanged from the original set. Unwanted guests who dare to step on the wrong spot find themselves hanging upside down at the mercy of the Islanders! From this area, I removed the moving platform, the brick-shooter, the sign, and—most importantly—that unsightly spaghetti-palm! In their place, I added more vegetation and rocks, a tribal mask as a warning, and a proper palm tree. The elevated area, however, has been completely transformed. The totem has been scrapped, along with the bone throne. In their place, we now have a couple of palm trees, the signature drum from the Islanders sets, and a stone statue modeled after the one from set 6264 Forbidden Cove. Even the shaman’s scepter follows the design of the one often seen in King Kahuka’s hands (Link). Inside the cavern, dinner is being prepared. This soup is only missing one thing—some human meat! Luckily, the pantry/prison is well stocked! The secret exit through the mouth of the stone serpent remains unchanged. The prisoner is certainly grateful for that! The stone serpent’s red eyes and white teeth have been removed and replaced with identical gray pieces. The lava flowing from its mouth and the nearby waterfall have been transformed into streams of water. And with that, our journey to the Island of Fogs comes to an end! Captain Ironhook and his crew thank their hosts for the hospitality and bid them farewell—taking a few souvenirs with them, of course! I’ll wrap things up with a look at the minifigures! Jack Sassy Posted February 8 Posted February 8 What a pleasant surprise! I was considering the purchase of this set back in 2021, but in the end it felt too expensive. I had the same idea as ye, it seems. This set was begging for an Islander modification, and ye have done it well. Good job! Quote

Ozark Posted February 12 Posted February 12 Okay this is so cool! What a perfect mod that really feels like it could be an official set! I love each and every detailed addition you made- the palms, the water instead of lava, the large stone statue, the minifigs! I would add this to my collection in a heartbeat if it was released - absolutely spectacular job! Quote
