I've been working on a plan to incorporate the new Central Train Station #60469 into my layout.

The idea is it will be a low relief station frontage, with the front of the trains appearing from "behind the scenes" until the front of the train or loco is visible. Once it has stopped for a few moments it will move on. This way hopefully you won't notice the station platform is only 20 studs long! Picture below shows a plan view with 16x16 grid in yellow and the outline of the new station in red, as best I can determine from the set pictures. There will be a road leading up to the station, and a tram track alongside the road which will terminate behind the station frontage.

For some reason the new train set #60470 (which I don't think I'll be getting) is available to pre-order from lego.com but not the new station?

As far as I understand, the PoweredUp part retirement has been extended by +5 years, until 2030 at the least.

What is the source of this information? We were thinking we'd see the switch to a new system either in 2025 or no later than 2026. Holding out for a replacement until 2030 would be using really outdated technology at that point.

Hi, I asked the same question about a month ago,  see this response from @Blacktron2 in this thread on April 26. The info is from BrickTap. And as TLG about to release another train on June 1 with PuP hub, motor and remote, it seems unlikely to me that TLG will ditch PuP this year or next.

Thank you. I missed that response.

LEGO is releasing all unsold copies of BDP Series 1 & 2 on May 20th, at 8 am Pacific time at the online LEGO Shop. The catch is it's only for US and Canadian residents, and we don't know how much or of what there is to get. But this could potentially mean Old Train Engine Shed, Brick Cross Train Station, and / or the Logging Railway could be up for sale in (probably) small quantities. Be sure to set an alarm as it will all go FAST!

(More info at Brickset.)
