*thomas* Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 Hi all It has been a very long time since I have started a new topic. I'm still working on a train project that I've started over a decade ago and am building around a French/TEE-themed era. There's one train that has always captured my attention due to it's design, and that is the X2770 / RGP 1 from the SNCF. I'd like to try and MOC such a train set, but can't get my head around how to create the front end in 6 or 7 wide, esp the sloped front. If someone would be able to give some pointers/help, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Thomas Quote
JopieK Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 At least some TEE inspiration that might help at least to some degree: https://www.promobricks.de/lego-vt-11-5-tee-trans-europ-express-von-holger-matthes/ https://www.ebay.nl/itm/354493873648 Quote
*thomas* Posted December 15, 2024 Author Posted December 15, 2024 Thanks, JopieK. On other alternative I jst found, is this windscreen (76796). I could stack three on top of eachother. I'm wondering if I could get away with a MOD of this front end... Only downside is that this specific windscreen does not come in trans-clear. Quote
JopieK Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 Yup, great part indeed for making such round-sloped train 'faces'. Quote
Stereo Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 There's a relatively new 2x4x1 windshield that's trans-clear and could fit into that second design, I don't know offhand how difficult they are to stack. Same concept as the 3x6x1 one that's in white at the top of that build, just smaller. Quote
Pelzer117 Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 (edited) Maybe you find some inspiration here: Or here: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-195451/copernicus508/dr-vt-137-type-stettin-8w/#details Edited January 1 by Pelzer117 Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted January 8 Posted January 8 I don't know why but this train reminds me a bit the ETR 252... different colors but same era judging by the lines and front windows from which perhaps take inspiration. Quote
