I’ll have a look again for more wolf pack when everything has calmed down. I really like the wolf pack cloak; conversely, I wasn’t fussed about the fabric but for the female pirate and think it looks better without.

Correct Star wars was the first in black if I'm correct but there is also Brown and Blue.  The blue is in Ninjago sets, the brown was used for jedi like Obi-wan.

Got a full set delivered from Planet Fun Toys today. The Targets in my area have started putting these out at the registers now too, so I had a quick scan of some of them in the line I was in. Two Wolfpack beastmasters, and another bogeymen, so I added them. I've been very lucky to get what I wanted so quickly. The secondary market prices for the beastmaster are ludicrous!

I believe there is a Gold one also as well as the Black, Brown & Earth Blue.  I know I saw a picture, appears to be in the Dune Ornithopter according to Brickset.

Checked the one Target near me that actually carries the CMF's the other day but the pegs were all empty.  Haven't come across them in any local Walmarts so far.  Just Scheels but due to the taxes & fees they add on at that location I'm trying not to rely on them.  But the one day I checked the 500+ figures they had out there were 0 Beastmasters.  Haven't been back since.

Oh good grief! Hopefully stock arrives at a wider range of stores for you soon.

Went to Wegman's to pick up a prescription and they had a nearly full box of the figs—was able to get all five of the figs I was still missing, including ones I was especially excited for like the Wolfpack beastmaster, pirate, and cat lover!

Wegman's was where I got my first crack at the series, too! But my Wegmans sold out and hasn't re-stocked so I'm thinking they only ordered one box this time around.

In my case this was definitely their second box at least—my previous batch of figs from the series was also from Wegmans, and I was only able to get some of them that time because the box they had on the shelf had already been picked through. So it might be worth checking if your local one has restocked as well!

Yes that’s one - Obi-wan’s hood! That minifigure with hood is not in my storage but i was not sure if Beastmster’s hood is as same as Obi-WAN’s  while trying to find the latter.

The series has finally landed in Australia and I managed to get all of the Minifigures I wanted, including two beast masters, on the second day of release. It pays to go to a further out shop than the ones in the more densely populated area where I live.

It's a good set of figures, though the cupid wings being their own piece is weird. It does add a little bit of extra bulk over them being one piece with the neck attachment, and I'm not sure what's gained from them being their own piece really.

Though the steampunk inventor's arm attachment uses a bunch of pieces, he still feels a little unbalanced. Even a simple hammer for his other hand could've been good.

But these are minor gripes and I like the figures I got overall.

Ooh good point. I've just seen an IG post with it used on the back of the white pony from that advent calendar.

Now I will have to play around with this...

Finally, available in NZ too.  So happy shops still do 20% off when buying the whole box and get 3 sets.  Saved the hassle to try to find the beastmaster.  This series is definitely one of the best in recent years.  I'm going to miss regular series this year as the F1 cars took one spot and september likely to be a licensed series.   My favourite is definitely the cupid because I love the hearts on his face.

I scanned a couple of stores' stock yesterday and earlier today (in different cities). Both had 5 boxes out on a stand and they had obviously been gone through by scanners before me as the contents were very messy and not ordered. One store had about 80 left, the other about 90. While some are obvious, I was a little surprised as to what was gone.

Hamster - loads left.

Wolfpack - all gone.

Space - about 50% gone.

Telescope - loads left.

Plushie collector - loads left.

Dinosaur - loads left.

Skateboard - loads left.

Boogeyman- loads left.

Cupid - loads left.

Pirate - loads left.

Cat owner - nearly all gone.

Steampunk - nearly all gone.

 

The ones that surprised me are: 

Dinosaur, as I thought there was a positive reaction to this one but it seems it is not being used as an army builder. I guess the head doesn't help much as unlike some others the hole doesn't work so well as a mouth if used with a red head or a toothed head.

Plushie - again, I thought there was a reasonably positive reaction but loads were left.

Boogeyman - Another one were I thought there was a positive reaction. I guess it is not really an army builder, but I think I saw more of this and the dinosaur than anything else.

Cupid - with Valentine's Day coming up, I'm surprised that this one doesn't seem very popular. I thought this one would sell well, but it seems not. And it will surely be even less popular next week. 

Pirate - so many left when it fits well with Pirates, but I guess the outfits are a bit too samey if you have more than one.

Cat owner - I thought there was quite a lot of negatively against this one, but it seems to be one of the more popular ones here.

Was able to scan some in my Walmart yesterday.  Somewhat similar results to the above in regards to the Dinosaur, Telescope & Skateboard ones.  Don't remember seeing Cupid or Bogeyman and maybe just a couple of the cat one and only one or two Hamster and the Plushie ones.  Just 2 or 3 of the Harbormaster & Steampunk, more of the rest and of course zero Beastmaster.  There was only maybe a box & a half worth there.

Besides, Wolfpack, obviously, Cupid, Steampunk, Bogeyman and Pirate seem to be the most popular near me. The least popular by far seem to be Telescope, runner up worst probably Plush.

The scalping on the Wolfpack figure is absurd.  I know there's been figures in the past that have been popular, but I've never seen it to this extent, especially with the cheapest resale price being $10.  I found a full end cap at Target today (first time I've seen that in probably 3-4 years), checked like 50 figures, and wouldn't you know it, I found all 11 except that one.  

It doesn't help that the distribution of CMFs, at least in the US, sucks.  I don't know if this is only a problem around me, but Target stores seem to get one big shipment (IF they get them in at all), and then nothing else, so if you miss them the first time, you're SOL.  I also can't tell you how many times I'll check item inventory at a Target, see that they supposedly have some in stock, and then go, and can't find any, checking the toys, seasonal, and checkout lanes.  Walmart seems to be a bit better, but still not great.  I've had the best luck at places like Barnes and Noble or Kohl's, but they don't always seem to get them in.

I miss the days when these were first coming out, and it seemed like every store was consistently fully stocked for a couple of months.

All the Walmarts near me have all the LEGO in locked cases now including the Minifigs & Polybags.  I lucked into a staff member being in the LEGO Aisle yesterday who was willing to open the case & let me scan what was there.  No Beastmasters of course.  Early January I scanned about 500 boxes in a fully stocked display at Scheels & there were absolutely no Beastmasters.  I haven't been to Kohls.  Only one of the Targets I frequent seems to get the CMF's anymore & but I haven't seen this latest series there yet.  One local King Soopers had a box that still had everything but the Beastmaster in it & the other one only had two boxes of the previous series out.  Haven't bothered to check in Barnes & Noble.  Tried one Best Buy about a month ago & they had no CMF's.  It's looking like the only Beastmaster's I'll have are the two I got in the two full sets I bought through my LUG.

Is it not possible to buy them at a Lego shop? They should restock all the time? Lego stores should probably only sell 1 wolfpack to every customer..
My wolf hunting went really well, but I also bought a complete box to be safe before they came in stock. That is probably the way to do it if there is hard to find them in your area, however takes time to sell the figures you do not want..

Whilst I’ve generally found less places are stocking CMFs regularly, I’ve honestly not had that problem with scalping where I’ve checked. In fact when I went back* to a store about three weeks later after they’d first gotten boxes in and on display, I (to my surprise) found three wolfmasters with very little scanning of the five already-depleted boxes on display.  

I guess it will depend on how many serious scanning collectors are around though, and there’s a good chance that they concentrate on some stores. 

 

 

*I deliberately didn’t scan the whole lot and scalp all of them when I first went, on account of me not being a monster.

Honestly it’s such a pain having to take a bag of different clothes, glasses, hats, and fake facial hair every time I want multiples from the store

The design is kind of out there. If it wasnt for the necklace I wouldnt guess she is meant to be a pirate.

Im aware pirates used to wear whatever they found, but still. I wish they had leaned more into the stereotype with this one.
