Vedauwoo Posted August 4, 2024 Posted August 4, 2024 Does anyone else experience the LEGO website becoming slower and slower everytime they update anything? Perhaps it's some issue with my PC or connection? Seems to take almost 2 minutes just to load a page 2 from page one....about 3-4 minutes for the new page to come up and get populated with graphics...(if it doesn't give up and not load them) Also had an issuer a couple of months back where firefox would constantly see the LEGO site as "unsecure" unless i cleared all cookies and data and reloaded..... Is it just me? lol Quote
JesseNight Posted August 4, 2024 Posted August 4, 2024 Seems fine for me at this moment on Chrome. Seen no "insecure" messages either. Quote

Lyichir Posted August 4, 2024 Posted August 4, 2024 (edited) I'm on Firefox on my Macbook and not having issues. Sometimes I do have issues during high-traffic periods (like just after midnight when new major new sets become available), but not in other normal circumstances. Maybe your service provider is terrible, you are using one of those awful over-advertised VPNs or some other software that messes with your network, perhaps it's just a major misconfiguration on your router or computer. Impossible to say since you haven't provided any actual relevant technical info. The least you could do is to reset your router and also configure a new network connection in Windows with the assistant (unless there are very specific requirements like a fixed IP or any such stuff), deleting/ overwriting the old one. Sometimes this fixes a ton of problems by resetting some security stuff deeply buried inside Windows (you could fix that manually, too, but would spend much more time even finding it). Mylenium Quote
Yoggington Posted August 12, 2024 Posted August 12, 2024 I have issues with in firefox sometimes, particularly if I've multiple PAB pages open, or multiple images. If it's not an issue on my end, it could be that they are just optimised for Chrome. Quote

Is it just me? lol Clearing cookies and cache, as you mentioned, is a good step. I’ve found that sometimes browser extensions (like ad blockers) can also interfere with the site’s loading times. You might want to try using a different browser or disabling extensions temporarily. As for the "unsecure" issue, it's probably related to certificate updates on their end. Clearing data helps because it forces your browser to refresh everything, but hopefully, that’s something LEGO can improve on. I've noticed the LEGO website can get really slow, especially on Firefox. Sometimes, clearing the browser cache or disabling add-ons helps, but if it’s still crawling, consider a fresh start with the browser. Uninstalling Firefox and reinstalling it often resolves lingering issues. If you’re unsure how to completely uninstall, this guide is about how to uninstall Firefox https://setapp.com/how-to/uninstall-firefox can help. Once it’s reinstalled, the LEGO site tends to work much smoother. Hope this helps! Edited October 25, 2024 by Dillan23 Quote
