thewatchman Posted June 24, 2024 Posted June 24, 2024 Wow! I simply don’t have words for how amazing this! I love all of it, but the stern castle is incredible. The scale of ships like this are just something else. Thank you for sharing! Quote

Captain Braunsfeld Posted June 25, 2024 Posted June 25, 2024 Great ship. I would have put it on the frontpage - but there it is already Quote

Thanks for your kind reply. you may enjoy the detail of this ship on my Youtube with a beautiful violin music. 14 hours ago, 1963maniac said: WOW!! This is incredibly detailed! Is the rudder controlled by the ship's wheel too? Actually it is not now, but it has been. I originally planned and realized the rudder mechanism you said in real. But at completion of this ship, some string parts below the quarter deck tangled up when testing and it hasn’t worked. It’s too complicated to recover it. So decided not to fix it. Yperio_Bricks Posted June 25, 2024 Posted June 25, 2024 What a stunningly beautiful ship. Truly a masterpiece! It should be displayed in a museum! The amount of detail you packed into this build is insane. As is the rigging! Also a big thanks for sharing the story behind the moc and all the historical documents you used for research. Quote
MAP Tec Posted June 25, 2024 Posted June 25, 2024 Hallelujah. My respect for this MOC! I love all these details! Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted June 25, 2024 Posted June 25, 2024 WOW!!! Wonderful construction of the ship ...but above all incredible information and historical details! You deserved the front page! Quote
Garmadon Posted June 26, 2024 Posted June 26, 2024 Lovely. I'm astonished at the amount of research, time, and thought that clearly went into this, and of course the rigging and hull shape are fantastic, but my favorite part has definitely got to be the deck, with its belaying pins, rain buckets, and all the little details that are so often missing from our LEGO ships but soo sell the idea of it being a real, true-to-life vessel you're looking at! Sweet cannon designs too, especially for the obusiers - I don't recall ever seeing those in LEGO before and it's a great design - and of course I'm digging the inclusion of such a nice cabin interior too! That's the only part of the interior I missed out on my recent large ship, but yours is very classy. Overall just a phenomenal model, I'm very glad you finally got to accomplish your childhood dream here! Quote
Third Navigator Posted June 26, 2024 Posted June 26, 2024 Wow she shame me! it seems not like something made with lego parts! Quote
Marooned Marin Posted June 26, 2024 Posted June 26, 2024 This is not a ship, this is a pure art! I really enjoyed the video, excellent choice in music. Overall, it's a real beauty to see, even only on pictures. I can only imagine how it looks in real life. Well done! Quote
The Undo Posted June 28, 2024 Posted June 28, 2024 You Sir are a Master Builder! This ship with all of it's intricate details and overall build is a top-tier piece of art! Quote
Professor Thaum Posted July 1, 2024 Posted July 1, 2024 Oh my god ! What a bunch of lovely books you have. All of your references for that frigate are fully appreciated (except for the name ) This MOC is the recognition of all the time you put in research... really gorgeous ! For your ship expertise and for pushing @The_Limit you deserve a little something (see under your name ) Quote
mrcp6d Posted July 1, 2024 Posted July 1, 2024 I just went through Part 1 as well as this Part 2--phenomenal MOC! Amazing how both well-researched this build is and how well-presented the "additional content is. Great, great work and thanks so much for sharing with us here! Quote
