It's an imposing architectural complex built by the Emperor Diocletian, most likely between the end of the third and the beginning of the fourth century AD with the aim of making it his home. The Emperor was originally from the area, and when he retired to private life after reforming the Roman Empire and establishing the tetrarchy he lived there for just under 10 years until his death. As I'm passionate about history and in particular about fortifications, I have always wanted to build a large Roman fortress, and I can't find anything more beautiful than this fortified palace. The original work, like all the Roman fortress, is too large to be made in minifigures scale (I like to interact with the minifigures, which is why my works can always be opened and played in every part), therefore in my interpretation of the palace I included the three peculiar aspects: the rectangular shape with square towers at the corners, the so-called golden door, and above all the peristyle with its characteristic architectural shape. ...
