Horlack Bricks Posted January 14, 2024 Posted January 14, 2024 The Lego City 60430: Interstellar Spaceship, being too small, too ugly, too many visible stud, too simple, etc ... ... I decided to re-do it again LEGO hurt my eyes too much. It tickled my fingers seriously. Worse it's space ! I could not resist. grognie-furie MODE: ON[Blacktron] Interstellar Spaceship#05 by Horlack, onr Flickr Quote
Horlack Bricks Posted January 14, 2024 Author Posted January 14, 2024 To build the flame/cone of the reactor, I used an Indian trick or innovated : NPU ! I used the transparent Dragon eggs, from the Lego Elves series (sets 41171 & 41180) 24132 - Container, Faceted, 4 x 4 x 1 2/3, Dragon Egg Top &24130 - Container, Faceted, 4 x 4 x 1 2/3, Dragon Egg Bottom Then I stacked Dish-Radar 2x2 & 3x3 transparent-red, to build the inside of the flame/cone. JesseNight Posted January 15, 2024 Posted January 15, 2024 (edited) Looks awesome! Any chance of instructions becoming available for this? And who needs stickers for a Blacktron logo when it is so simple with a few triangular tiles? Edited January 15, 2024 by JesseNight Quote
Horlack Bricks Posted January 15, 2024 Author Posted January 15, 2024 (edited) if I change/remove everything, the internal gradient is seen better: we don't have the backlights or shadow effects of external elements. Edited January 15, 2024 by Horlack Bricks Quote
JesseNight Posted January 15, 2024 Posted January 15, 2024 Looks great! I meant is the entire model itself (or will it be) on Rebrickable? Quote
Feuer Zug Posted January 16, 2024 Posted January 16, 2024 Wicked! A fitting upscaled MOC for Blacktron. The wings appear to be variable geometry. Is that just how you angled them, or do they have the ability to sweep? Quote
