legoturtle Posted June 12, 2024 Posted June 12, 2024 It would be a dream come true. LEGO DC RANKING SYSTEM. Top-10 Minifigures (hero), Top-10 Minifigures (rogue), Top-10 Sets We need also DATA of how many DC minifigures, different one have ever made. AND also how many different sets. Maybe we need TOP-25 from sets and others who knows. Sooner or later, the time will tell. Quote
Mandalorianknight Posted June 12, 2024 Posted June 12, 2024 Turtle, have you used Brickset? It's a very helpful resource for how many different DC sets and figures have been made. Quote
legoturtle Posted June 12, 2024 Posted June 12, 2024 Yes! I use it every day. Amazing LEGO database. MUST HAVE for all lego fans! Quote

RULES: - there has to be 3 categories - 10 in each catagory - total 30 You can not write... some polybags... for example. We are building highly complex RANKING SYSTEM. Only official qualified lists matter. (Please edit). What did I miss? Heroes ten, villains ten, sets ten. Random villains also ten. BrickHeadz eight but that's because there's only eight options. Don't own it but of the first sets that's the one I would like the most. 2. 75996 Aquaman and Storm SDCC - underrated in my mind. 3. 70907 Killer Croc Tail-Gator. Love all of it. 4. 70908 The Scuttler. A really imaginative build. 5. 70922 Joker Manor. I forgot about this set when discussing missing from the collection. It's mental and I love it. 6. 77906 Wonder Woman SDCC set. A really good diorama based on an iconic cover. 7. 76239 Batman Tumbler: Scarecrow Showdown. A really nice model for the scale. And we got that Scarecrow. 8. 76025 Green Lantern Vs Sinestro. When there was hope for the theme. Two non-Trinity characters in one set! 9. 76040 Brainiac Attack. I got Brainiac! Apparently quite rare. 10. Lex Luthor Mech Takedown. A really well designed mech that was very stable. Minifigure selection was great and the hope was back again. PLEASE add those other 2 TOP-10 lists in 1 post. 8 in 1 officially released? Edited June 12, 2024 by legoturtle Quote
ARC2149Nova Posted June 12, 2024 Posted June 12, 2024 Well, I've already done these tired lists, so I'm gonna state my favorite Catwoman, I mean favorite minfigure this Catwoman, My favorite DC minifigure this year. It's Catwoman. I want a BTAS Catwoman Mech next year. Quote

legoturtle Posted June 12, 2024 Posted June 12, 2024 (edited) Ok!??? MAYBE I have made a BIG mistake. TIER-list, like someone here said, long time ago. Could be a better choice. S, A, B, C, D ... Anyway we really need that superb ranking system ASAP. Spoiler AND obviously it should include everyone. Hero, Villain, Set, Brickheadz. Edited June 12, 2024 by legoturtle Quote

All the sets and minifigures I've chosen are S-tier to me, so I'm not sure how you'd benefit from a list like this. Quote

Not that I don't agree- I actually think I'm starting to see what Turtle's trying to say, and I respect the idea of a sort of community consensus on set quality. 11 hours ago, legoturtle said: ... so about 20 years of LEGO DC & 560 sets... AND current state is what? From 1 to 10 ... if 2005 it was 10... 2005 is probably a 1 in terms of year-by-year as we always complain about sets only having batman and joker and 2005 consisted quite literally of only batman and joker. But I'd say the best years for the theme were 2006, 2012, 2015, and 2018. (The lego DC theme- I count the lego batman movie as it's own thing, but if you must, chuck in 2017) Any JL centric year or year where it's starting off. I think what we need is a hard reset on the theme. A big relaunch that'd serve as a jumping-on point for kids. Preferably accompanied by a child-friendly Batman cartoon, but at this point I think lego should just take the risk. Just look in the toy aisle- it's two near-identical batmobiles (aside from the color) and a batwing in terms of system sets. No variety, nothing flashy, the only cheap set for kids to start out on is a mech gimmick. I've got an idea. It's on the backburner (I mean, like, waaaaay on the backburner given how many projects I've got with lego. I've got two big ones up first, and they don't even continue until July because I'm doing the lego star wars contest), but I'll try to MOC it out in the fall. Eurobricks doesn't quite have the infrastructure, but a community ranking of all the sets would be something to behold. I don't know if tierlistmaker has an aggregate feature where it compiles what everyone's put, but it'd be something to check out. Quote

ARC2149Nova Posted June 13, 2024 Posted June 13, 2024 They are objectively two of the most useless suits out of that whole lot. While some of the other TLBM designs can be utilized in niche situations (Historical Elseworlds, fancy clothes for Bruce Wayne, I could see Scu-Bat in a comic, etc), Tears, Bunny, Fairy, and the Disco Bats have no such excuse. The Type 4/5 cowl is not my cup of tea, and Movie Space Suit is incredibly lazy. Quote

He made his Dick go under cover as Joker during the New 52 Batman run. Why won’t Lego make a Robin? I’m actually curious at this point. There’re Two Sets this year where Robin deserves a slot but he’s not in either. How much wood could the wood chuck chuck if the wood chuck could chuck wood?
