I won't lie, it's a bit disappointing the larger piece count didn't go to the museum. The biggest set of the wave is a bit of a let down, but im not upset by the museum build at all! They managed to fit in a tonne of stuff, and the hinges on the side for display purposes is great.

Only thing I don't like is the roost being crammed into the corner... rather they just not include that, and instead have the roost be its own set.

So many cool new pieces! The snowman and cardboard box are other highlights beside the snail and pear pieces :sweet: As for the villagers, I’m glad they continue to introduce new ones, and new species to boot!

Is this expected to be the last wave of the year?

Well i definitely don’t need more houses since the museum is here, but i do need more minifigs. Especially the ones that are missing right now. The Nook kids, Brewster,  Orville, Saharah, the missing Able sister, Pascal,  Cyrus & Reese and Loyd

And of course Redd’s boat!

but also characters like Wisp, the Resetti brothers, Luna, Lottie, Flick, CJ, Joan, Daisy-Mae, Kicks, Katrina and the list goes on of course.

So they better start making a cmf series for us.

I know someone has asked this before, but I do wonder if Lego will ever make a CMF for this line? So far, I have only seen at most three characters per set, but most sets have only two minifigs. So many more to make!

It would be a great fit for a CMF, but there's no news or rumors of one so far. A CMF series would be a great opportunity for not just regular villagers but also maybe things like seasonal visitors, as well as potentially characters who have been left out of previous sets like Sable and Orville.

So i saw the rumour that there will be a cmf series that only consists of animal minifigs. Maybe animal suits of course, but my guess is animal crossing. That would be so fire if that is true.

edit: they say it’ll be costumed animals :-(

I'm hoping that new printed moving box might pop up in some more Animal Crossing sets if we get them.

Maybe a smaller set with a figure (Either a new animal villager, or a repeat if they feel the need). A couple of the boxes and some random furniture builds to add to the sets that are already out there?

That said, I'd take pretty much anything to get some more characters at this point. I love the fact we're getting Stitches this year, and I can see a frog or two now we got Lilly as a mould.  Rover as a special character is possible as he uses the cat head mould, and he looks very similar across all games so wouldn't require a lot of effort either. (Plus he could have his RV)

I still want Redd the fox. He seems to be one of the major figures missing from the series. So hopefully next year we will get him. They already have a Fox head mold. I also wouldn't mind getting the nook twins even if its just a polybag with 1 figure and some interchangeable accessories like plants or the snail with different shells [so we can buy 2] A Christmas polybag with Jingle would be fun They already have the head mold for him too. Another beach set with Gulliver and Pascal the otter is sure to get people buying it, just for an otter. Add some more sea creatures would be great with added shark or lantern fish. Just my thoughts.

He‘s at the very top of my wishlist! Of course we have a lot of other missing characters (like all of the holiday ones), but I won‘t consider this theme „complete“ before we at least get him

I wonder if Animal Crossing will be the theme that gives us the missing red-orange plain legs?!?

I don't know if that's particularly likely—both because there aren't too many villager characters in that color (apart from the already-produced Audie) and because most villager species so far tend to use the mid length or short legs (Julian the horse/unicorn being the only exception.

I just did a quick browse through a list of villagers and the only one who stuck out as possibly being a candidate to give us those (being a taller villager and being close to the right color) would be Teddy. And even then they might opt for standard orange or dark orange if they did make him.

Just built the Museum set yesterday and am utterly charmed by it. The museum itself is great—I love how it folds up to resemble either the upgraded or unupgraded museum—and the side builds are really well integrated (with a fossil that can be dug up and fish and bugs that can be caught and added to the collection).

Obviously it's not a perfect representation of the in-game museum (lacking an art wing, putting the main fossil outside, and reducing the Roost to a mere coffee station in the lobby), but it would probably be impossible to perfectly represent both the vast interior and much smaller exterior. I hope that fine art can maybe be represented if they do a set of Redd's shop or boat, and that perhaps the Roost will be released in the future (probably as a standalone building like in New Leaf). I'm also sort of inspired to try designing more fossils in this set's simplified yet charming style!

Red and Roost are on the top of my AC wishlist, and I really hope we‘re getting some pieces of art too! Most of them should be public domain, so there‘s nothing to stop them from including them :excited: Then again, the Starry Night Ideas set was licensed by the MOMA, so maybe it‘s not that easy

Also: Not gonna happen, but it‘d be so cool if they included random painting tiles in sets, à la HP or One Piece :sweet: With AC, there would even be more possibilities beyond that, such as villager portraits or KK album covers ^^
