evancelt Posted September 19, 2023 Posted September 19, 2023 Printed out some Ktown-esque revolutionary war stickers and stuck them on AliExpress napoleonic figure legs Quote
evancelt Posted September 19, 2023 Author Posted September 19, 2023 For the continental soldiers I started with this figure from AliExpress Then removed the white stripes on the side of the torso Obviously would be better to have the printed KTown figs, but those are both out-of-print and $14/each. With the AE napoleonic figs being $1 ea, this will work out much more economically Quote

MAB Posted September 19, 2023 Posted September 19, 2023 (edited) You are cutting the stickers too big. I'd be tempted to remove the print from the fronts of the torsos too, at least around the edges, then cut the decals slightly smaller. That way you don't get the overhang and you don't see the underlying print either. Although it does depend how closely you expect to look at them. If only from a distance, it is less of an issue. It would be really good if you could buy a die cutter for torso sized stickers that go in one of those craft mangle style die cutters. Edited September 19, 2023 by MAB Quote
Rogue Redcoat Posted September 20, 2023 Posted September 20, 2023 More customs , but I love the Revolutionary War so I guess it evens out , Are you planning a MOC for these guys? Quote
NOD Posted September 20, 2023 Posted September 20, 2023 The modification fits well and $1 each sound good! Quote

In retrospect I should have wiped the white lines from the edges of the dark blue torsos before applying the stickers. Wasn't an issue with the redcoats I expect they'll look fine from a distance embedded in a MOC. A die cutter would be awesome! Do they make those? 14 hours ago, Rogue Redcoat said: More customs , but I love the Revolutionary War so I guess it evens out , Are you planning a MOC for these guys? Yeah I'll have to make some sort of MOC :D Have a ton of green 3741 grass stems I haven't used in a while - could make a grassy battlefield or something. Probably a figbarf first and then a MOC soon after Quote
