Awesome purchase!

Just so you know, Eurobricks isn't meant to host photos. You can host them elsewhere, (Flickr, Bricksafe, etc.) and then embed / link to them here on EB . I think everyone would love to see more pictures!

Congratulations! Very cool catch. I rebricked it some years ago based on what was available back then. Still not sure if it is correct. Will you open and build it? Then of course more detail pictures / instructions etc. would be highly appreciated.

Thank you! Because of the value I will not open it and I will not build it.

I have built a lot in my past. I have now significantly reduced my collection and am more of a collector/investor for very rare sets, figures or sets that I am emotionally attached to.

I think another user published the instructions and pictures of the assembled sets here in the forum in 2011.

I made a little video showing the packaging, removing the outer packaging and showing the sealing of the inner packaging. Unfortunately I don't know how to share it here.

There is a pdf of the instructions available somewhere. I built it many years ago but the file would have been on a long gone PC. It was an OK build but nothing special. Someone was selling reproduced stickers for it a bit later on at brickset ... https://forum.brickset.com/discussion/20712/stickers-for-4000001-moulding-machines-set ... but I decided not to buy a sheet as I wasn't going to display it anyway. Like many of these sets, the parts are fairly cheap and it is the packaging and printed instructions that have the value, so I can definitely understand keeping it as an unopened investment rather than treating it as a lego set and building it.

Thank you for your understanding :-) I would like to secure my pension with some of my ultra rare sets :angel_sing:
I've now had the set signed with a dedication by the Lego employee, so I won't be able to show it anymore for the time being :laugh_hard:

...but I will upload the video I've already made.

The easiest thing is just to upload to either YouTube or Vimeo, then share a link to the video page here.

I attended the Lego Inside Tour in 2011 and got this set.  I decided to build it and put it up for display. Fond memories!
