Lovely simple entry. It would probably need a quite big box only to fit that mast, but throwing a set with it is a rather interesting choice :) How come it wasn't done before :)

And i absolutely love those characters in wigs, especialy the governor, he seems like a little funny sorta cartoonish fellow.

Not sure about these soldiers tho. It seems that the army didn't provide them with uniforms that could match all those honourable guests here. Then again maybe that's done for purpose so that the Governor and his daughet could stand out.

But seriously now, i'd drop those army guys and use those wigged characers for a mini build. Could give a nice place to sit and drink tea and be fanned by their servants or their tribal help. Or You could just throw them into a palanquin or an open carriage, something that could be seen in West Indies, but we haven't seen done yet. Simple build, limited amount of parts, cool visuals... if You'd only have more time... :/

Nice minifigures, looks like you really went all out with the wigs!  The admiral could use some dual molded legs with black boots, otherwise they are great.  Still not as great as the pirate crew in your other entry, though -- those ones are next level!

For the builds, mast/flagpole is adequate but looks like it might be a bit unstable.  The cannon, however, is excellent.  I would love to see some more pictures to see how it was done.  Really nice small build overall!

My first thoughts are there is a rule that there are supposed to be no battle pack entries, but I don't care (I had to deal with the same thing), anyway the minifigures look great although there does not need to be 2 officers. Other than this the flag looks nice the cannon great I would just swap the sea turtle with a crab or spider, other than this I might add some walls of a fort or something like a tree to better indicate where this is taking place, anyway, happy building :)

Well, my idea was to built a small wooden Fort in the middle of a jungle with as an Imperial Outpost like Fort Foster in Florida. But - same here - time was running out and I had to improvise.

Thanks for your nice comments and precise critics!

Well there is enough of the build to pass as an entry. The cannon has a great custom wagon attached and the flag pole is a really nice idea. Especially if you want to throw in a few more minifigures. It feels more like the 501st SW battle pack around the 30 price point instead of the ones around the 15 (now 20). Anyway, I guess what was really discouraged for this contest is the recreation of sets like 6251 or 6252 or creating a similar one with minifigs only ...

Anyway the minifigure selection is nice, though the white and black boots legs would improve the minifigures a bit. I'm also not too fond of the use of the older torso, which looks outdated and not consistent - white torso with red print instead of having prints on the red torso ...
