This is great!! How FUN!? I had one of those made of tin when I was a kid (now I'm giving away my age). I wonder what part you are using for it to spin on? Thanks for sharing!

For the mechanic I use the lego parts 7376-3 / - 4 including in the Set : Police Training Academy

What are those parts at the very bottom of the "Top" that it spins on. It can be seen at 0:32, but it is kind of blurry. I want to build one of these.

That worm gear actually behaves really well. When I first saw it I wondered if there might be too much friction to move as fast as that but that is obviously not the case.
