Botanicals Wish List

The other Botanicals thread contains some light speculation about possible future sets in the line, but I thought it would be nice to have a dedicated thread for the topic. I've picked up several of the sets--mostly the flowers--and quite like how they look and how easy it is to swap out individual stems to make a constantly evolving seasonal bouquet.

So what else would be good to have? Here's my list so far:

• Mushrooms (maybe on a section of crumbling log)
• Kitchen Herb Windowbox (sage, parsley, rosemary, etc.)
• For Christmas: Poinsettias, sprigs of holly, mistletoe ball
• For Halloween: Mini pumpkins
• A subseries of the monthly birth flowers. Some of these, you'll notice, have already been done, but we could see new variations, or have the primary and secondary flower for each month together in a set

What else do we need from this line? Put your ideas here!

think I’d agree with the ‘Mushrooms’ idea.

Also, since seeing the Friends Botanic Garden set, I’ve been keen to see how the Botanical range would tackle bigger scale versions of the Titan Arum, and some carnivorous plants (pitcher plants, Venus fly trap & sundews)

Depends for what you need them. If you really just want decorations you could put them together yourself or buy sets from alternate manufacturers. Basically everything you listed already has been done one way or the other, just not in genuine LEGO. Personally I would primarily just want more packages that introduce recolored elements, as ultimately that's what I want them for. I don't really need a bunch of kitschy plastic flowers catching dust in my home. With that in mind I would basically support everything that brings those elements. With the LEGO Dreamzzz and Donkey Kong sets also already having those new rounded leaf elements i would also at the very least predict that we get to see them in new flower sets just like we may see the little fern element as calyx leaves. From where i stand that's basically all that matters.

I think a set of daylilies would be nice - they come in a lot of vibrant colors and could be popular among cat owners who wouldn't want to display the real thing in their homes.

I would also love to see some fruit and vegetable builds, perhaps even a big cornucopia as a seasonal release for autumn.

How about different bonsais? For example, a Pam tree bonsa? Or a forest bonsai? Or a tree on a rock bonsai?

A potted bamboo plant might be nice, though it's really easy to MOC out of existing pieces already.
