Mandalorianknight Posted June 13, 2023 Posted June 13, 2023 (edited) Part of my community wishlist MOC wave this year was a Naboo Fighter vs Vulture droid set, and I thought I'd show the MOC in separatist colors. In both color schemes, the droid is fully buildible with real lego elements (Though my vulture's eyes are a custom print since stud.io doesn't carry the stickered vulture droid elements, the part used does have a stickered variant with the vulture droid eyes for both color schemes) Oh, and here it is in the Trade Federation colors and in walk/patrol mode. This alternate mod can be achieved without removing or altering any parts. A couple of spring-loaded shooters are located below the main body. Let me know what you think! TeddytheSpoon Posted June 13, 2023 Posted June 13, 2023 Very nice! I've been working on one of these myself but the walking/flight mode mechanism has me completely stumped, yours is quite elegant. Quote
Big_Daddy Posted June 13, 2023 Posted June 13, 2023 Great job! It also looks considerably more elegant than the latest version. Which was released nine years ago, oh my... Quote
Per_SW Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 That is a really nice vulture, love the angle with the click hinges for the walking mode Quote

Thank you, feel free to use mine, especially if you're planning on doing a physical build! (I'm worried about stability. It's definately a little fragile, but I'm hoping it's not any more fragile than the 2020-2022 marvel mechs.) 7 hours ago, Big_Daddy said: Great job! Ironically, while I made this because I considered the '14 version too large, but something of this size would likely sell for the same amount as the 2014 one did now given inflation and lego's own increases. 1 hour ago, Per_SW said: That is a really nice vulture, love the angle with the click hinges for the walking mode Thank you! Agent Kallus Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 This looks great, TLG really need to get back into making CIS vehicles. Quote

The wing construction is quite different but it would certainly be a good starting point. I also just realised the click hinges remind me of the 1999 Vulture Droid, which was my first set, so bonus points for nostalgia! Quote
